we paid 40euros per night. It was extremely expensive. No hot water, no internet, no electricity after 6pm, shower and toilet problem. Staff are very unhelpful, they were supposed to pick up after the night walk at the park. they forgot us, we manage to call them to come. They arrive 45 min later, without any apologise. Even if there... More

Dear Siapsarah, Thank you for your visit to Mulu National Park, a UNESCO Heritage Site and for staying at our Benarat Lodge which although is a basic accomodation, is not a bed and breakfasts as we do not have dormitory rooms. Allow us to explain to you that Mulu National Park is created to preserve the caves and the forests... More

Recently stayed at the lodge and found the property an excellent budget choice. The staff were attentive. They provided EVERYTHING...transport to and from the airport, food even at Clearwater cave, and Tour Guide Mr Ting who was excellent in his knowledge of the caves and had a great sense of humor. The food was very good and plentiful. It's a... More

We stayed only 1 night,in a planned tour. Room was big and quite clean. Bathroom was essential. Food was ok and all the staff is very gentle and helpful (Garry and Eddie really took care of us). Position is good.

I spent 4 days and three nights in December 2012, booked through Tropical. The accommodation is petty poor compared to others at a similar price- temporary electricity, uncomfortable beds, no ac, and my toilet leaked. Staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and not welcoming, except for a few exceptions. On the whole they would rather hang out among themselves than interact or... More

I stay there for 3 days 2 nights on this week..this is a very simple lodge so do not expect a lot of facilities..like other traveller's review, the electricity and water is very limited but I think it's okay after all we only need a place to sleep and bath at night..to my surprise the room was clean...the room we... This will do if you need a place to sleep for a night - I would not recommend to stay here for more than a day. The place is very basic with no electricity during the day (only from 6PM until midnight) and the staff is not very serviceminded. Food that is served here is absolute flavourless and you have... I have to say that when you decide to stay at a national park you should go for N expect the basics.. Limited electricity n and clean drinking water... Then you'll get a feel of nature.. Staying at royal Mulu would be just like staying in any 5 star hotel!! You go to a park .. Live like nature intended!!... More

Looks nice upon arrival but it seems that almost everyone has to suffer the same poor amenities for a ridiculous price. I personally was lucky as I travelled with a friend who is local to the area. If I had not then i'm sure I would have been scammed for the same over the top prices as the other few... More

The place is quite simply dreadful for the US$50-60 they charged us per night, it appears to be fairly far from park HQ (which is where your bound to have most of your activity happening). There's virtually no one manning the place and the restaurants, The rooms are musty, dark, no facilities, no towels, soaps, toilet paper, no electricity after... More
