We stayed for two nights with our daughter and dog. We had a 3 bedroom self catering property ... I do think the photos on the website make them look prettier than in real life they are perfectly adequate for what we needed. The furniture in the sitting/dining room is nice and bedrooms are ok, bedrooms are only doubles and... More

We have visited Kilconquhar Castle previously for Murder Mystery Nights which were excellent value with dinner served as the "murder" unfolds. Because of this 16 of us booked two four bedroom villas and enjoyed the Christmas Party Night which was held in the Marquee. The food is always excellent, no matter where it is served, The Bistro, White Cockade or... More

Just returned from our daughter's wedding. Could not have been better. Everything from the accommodation, the food, the service and the staff were first class. We were a small group of 47 and everyone was able to stay from Friday until Sunday and all had a wonderful time. Thank you for making the weekend so special. More

Stayed from 30 Dec '11 to 5 Jan '12 and had a very enjoyable time. Maw, Paw and two teenagers in a fully furnished, fully equipped two bed villa. Easy walk to all facilities through beautiful gardens ( the storm strewn natural debris actually added to the ambience ! ). Staff couldn't have been more helpful. The fact that the... More

Eight of us hired a four-bed villa for a four night stay at New Year. We had a brilliant time. The villa was spacious, very comfortable and equipped to a high standard. We had dinner at the White Cockade on Friday night and in the Lindsay Room in the Castle on Monday. Both meals were very enjoyable and good value.... More

My wife and I spent a week at Kilconquhar from 26 November to 3 December. We were visiting the Country Club on a Timeshare exchange. I believe that the principle business of this resort is holiday ownership, supported by income from holiday rentals. Having read other reviews however, we had mixed feelings about what to expect. I'm pleased to say... More

Always thought Kilconquhar was a bit top notch, unfortunately it's below par. Stayed for a night b & b and although the room was large, it could do with a makeover. Ensuite is tiny, horrible shower cubicle, with a curtain, not even a glass door. Horrible wooden toilet seat with tarnished hinges, yuk! The room could easily have accomodated a... More

6 adults and 2 one year olds stayed in one of the villas in July. This was to celebrate my dad's 65th......we will remember it for the wrong reasons. We arrived to find that the kitchen floor had clearly not been cleaned, with two one year olds - this was not good.....it got worse...the high chairs and cot beds were... More

We stayed at Kilconquhar Castle, in a lodge, 28th-31st October, 2011. Having read a variety of reviews through Trip Adviser, I was concerned we were in for mould, damp and additional expense thanks to the electricity being paid for on departure. I'm pleased to say we encountered none of these things. Instead, we found the lodge spacious, comfortable and very... More
