I booked the Estate through an RCI timeshare trade, while visiting Scotland with my two adult sons. Because of our touring plans we only stayed at the Estate for two nights and were gone during the days. We enjoyed the accomodation and the dinner we had in the "Castle". What I did not like is that I got charged an... more

Lovely grounds, lodge, restaurant and waiting staff. However, the pools were really cold, my 3 year old was blue within 10 minutes, so we only used facilities once. And we were charged £60 for 4 days / 5 nights electricity which was appalling, particularly as we switched everything off through the day and even had a power cut! Therefore, have... more

We are just back after a few days staying in the 17th century Gatehouse at Kilconquhar. The turreted building has an open fire and is full of character, containing two bedrooms, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and separate toilet. It is located just within the gates of the Kilconquhar Caste Estate and is a short walk from the reception, leisure facilities, castle... more

Kilconquhar Castle - sounds great - my brother's getting married, the room's very expensive at £120 but hey, how often does yuor brother get married so I bite the bullet and pay £240 for two nights. "Anyway," I thought, "the room will be brilliant. It's in a castle near the coast, it's £120 a night. I can't wait to see... more

I wanted to write this review to put my views on the staff, which in the reviews I'd checked before going were quite unpromising! However, staff were wonderfully helpful before check in and whilst there. The Restraurant food was very good, and quite a few deals if you paid attention before booking the table etc. Minus points: found this part... more

Spent a week in one of the best time shares yet. Blessed with good weather, the facilities, space, views etc facilitated an excellent holiday with disabled husband,2 sons, their wives & 2 toddlers. Food, while not being haute cuisine, was tasty. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Houses are well designed & furnished with plenty of space. If you want a... more

Just completed a very relaxing week at Kilconquhar - took a timeshare exchange with RCI of a 3-bed bungalow with various friends and relatives coming for short stays. Bungalow was spacious, very well appointed and comfortable; each bedroom was en-suite. Conservatory was appreciated with the mixed weather - excellent view of fields; fox cubs and buzzards seen, but nearly always dozens... more

Looking forward to our 4 night stay at Kilconquhar Castle for our Easter Break where we had booked a 3 bed bungalow as we stayed in one previously for my father's 70th Birthday with all the family and had a great time! This is where the good news ends........Arrived mid afternoon and proceeded to try and check-in to be told... more

Nice location, good food and standard of accommodation but, without doubt, the worst customer services experience ever. The reception staff are totally unhelpful, argumentative and down right rude. We will never return to this holiday location again! Be warned!!! more

My husband and I booked our stay through RCI and chose this location as it is close to St. Andrews. Some of the reviews I read scared me, thinking we made a poor decision, but I am very happy to report our week was wonderful and the two bedroom villa we had was a lot more than expected! We arrived... more
