We were very sad we only booked one night here. We stayed in the Royal Suite. It was enormous and beautiful. I think it is bigger than my boyfriend's entire condo. The bathroom was so big it had a gigantic tub, separate shower, three sinks, and TWO toilets plus bidet. Super comfortable four poster. We really enjoyed all the fun... More

I don't usually write reviews but felt that our visit last weekend for Sunday lunch was exceptional and definitely merited 5-stars. Every staff member we met was extremely polite and helpful and answered all our questions about the hotel. The 3 course lunch was delicious and exploring the restaurant, library, music room and sitting room was like stepping back in... More

Spent the weekend at the Carberry Tower in August. The staff where both helpful and polite and it was a joy to be around so many courteous people. It's a beautiful venue for a wedding and the food that I had was lovely with many options available. It's a beautiful place to stay if you're attending a wedding and it's... More

Located not far from downtown Edinburgh, this ancient castle was the prototypical castle experience. Steeped in history with lovely grounds; it was an ideal setting for a corporate retreat. Excellent meeting rooms, outstanding breakfast and lunch, and special events dining. Our accommodation was outstanding - large and well appointed room with a palatial bathroom. The staff were great. I highly... More

This place is a real Scottish gem. Easy access to Edinburgh and some excellent local golf courses. However the 2 things that make Carberry Tower amazing are the place itself and the fantastic staff. My wife and I were welcomed in a cheerful and friendly manner by Laura, Reception Manager, and Douglas, AGM. Every staff member was cheerful and helpful... More

This delightful hotel is tucked away out of Edinborough but close enough to get a taxi (R&J's) and at a cost of £25 20 minutes later you will be in the city centre. The staff are truly delightful, nothing is too much trouble for them in this old building which goes back to the days of Mary Queen of Scots.... More

I visited Carberry Tower in July as part of a wedding party, a lovely location and an outstanding property. I did get the impression that the hotel was being run on a shoestring, the staff were friendly but somewhat down on numbers also the formal garden where guests gathered could have benefitted from a visit by the gardener. The biggest... More

Spent a night with family at Carberry. We were a family of five and booked two rooms. The hotel was beautiful with a lot of history and the estate around it gorgeous. However beyond that everything else was a bit disappointing. As we arrived we were told that the afternoon tea and dinner was fully booked and we had to... More

Myself and my wife came here for a one night get away and stayed for dinner as it was our 2 year anniversary. Upon our arrival we were met by a lovely receptionist (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) who showed us where everything was and made us feel very welcomed. Our room was good, not as big as we... More

I stayed here for one night arriving fairly late at around 7.30 very quite hotel no bus tours. They had a family party on and no other diners but made a special effort for me food outstanding and well worth the £30 for three courses. Bed very comfortable - wifi good. Breakfast was brilliant. Will defiantly stay here again outstanding... More
