Stayed there for a couple of nights separated by a few nights in Stirling. I had the Sunday roast on the first night and it was really poor. The carrots were overcooked, swede undercooked, the roast potatoes were more microwave potatoes and the beef was the pre sliced style you would get in the cooked meats aisle in supermarkets. However... More

We use the Lauriston Hotel on a regular basis for eating out. The menu is extensive and the food is excellent. The setting is lovely as you are seated in the conservatory with views down to the beach and the sea. The staff are friendly and the service is very good.

Stayed here for one night during my Ayrshire Coastal Path trek. It overlooks the beach and is reasonably appealing on the eye from the outside. On arrival there was no one manning reception, I caught the eye of a male member of staff in the corridor who was fumbling with a door. I asked him if anyone would be arriving... More

We stayed here for one night on our cycle ride from Lands End to John O'Groats. We had a room with an amazing sea view across to Arran. The room was enormous, clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was also excellent. Wished we could have stayed longer.....

Went there for lunch after having fun with our daughter on the beach and I have to say the food was gorgeous! Everything (apart from probably the skinny fries) seemed to be home made. The hand cut chips myself and my husband had with our burgers were the best chips we have ever tasted! Absolutely amazing and my breaded chicken... More

This was the first stop on my 50th Birthday Tour of Western Scotland. The large room was fantastic over looking the bay. The staff were brilliant, everyone helped you out, if you were waiting at the bar or in reception any of the staff that walked by asked if they could help and there was a Wedding on too which... We stayed the 7th and 8th March for my birthday. The room was not what we expected, holes in the walls and doors which had been patched up, hot water tap in bathroom sink constantly running. No milk for a drink the first morning, just not a 4* hotel. Very disappointed, the website just does not give it justice

We used the hotel for our civil partnership and from start to finish the staff were wonderful. The food is excellent, rooms are very clean and there is always a warm welcome. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a bite to eat to having a function. Keep up the good work guys!
