Wow - what a beautiful setting this hotel has! Very pastoral with a lovely garden. Our room was large and well decorated. The bathroom was also very spacious. The food was absolutely delicious!! Loved the laid back atmosphere here!! more

Frankly, this hotel is perfect. The hotel itself is a beautiful redbrick country house set within stunning grounds and gardens. It is traditionally decorated, but has some nice modern touches such as 'monsoon' showers in the bathrooms. One previous reviewer complained of a small room, but ours was very 'roomy' and comfortable. There are countless things that make this place... more

The best thing about this hotel is its beautiful grounds. The gardens are spectacular and blooming, even in May when all the other gardens in Scotland are still not in flower. The second best thing is the amenities and activities they offer. For instance, you can rent DVDs to watch in your room, or you can pay to participate in,... more

Lovely hotel to celebrate our first anniversary. The food was the best we ever tasted and our superior room was huge. Our two dogs were also made welcome with a map for walks around the hotel. Nice staff and beautiful gardens. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. more

My husband and I wanted a nice country hotel to stay at where i could also experience horse riding for the first time. I happened to see this hotel advertised in a magazine and looked up their website, which led me to book for a weekend break. They could also arrange with a local stable for us to have a... more

I live in the south west of Dumfries and Galloway, and Trigony House Hotel is in the north, but it is such a large region that it was a lovely break in a completely relaxed and scenic area. I stayed at Trigony many years ago and my wife and I revisited to enjoy its ambience once more. The gardens are... more

Place is looking tired needs some decoration and maintence, e.g bathroom. Meals good but quantity rather than quality. House wine poor and expensive. Catered for large noisy party which monopolised lounge. Only for dog lovers. more

The service was unbeatable. The room was comfy, clean and homely. There are plenty of circular walks from the hotel, so even without a car there is plenty to do. more

Trigony House is a great place to stay. Our room (no. 9) was well furnished and very comfortable. The food was great and, as we preferred our dog to sit with us while we ate, we had both dinner and breakfast in the bar area, which has decent size tables to eat at. We'd definitely stay there again! more
