I stumbled across the BrazenHead Inn a couple of years ago while on a motorcycle trip. From the moment that another guest who was sitting on the front porch offered me a beer while a friend went to find the innkeeper, Will, I knew I was in a good place. I was treated to a wonderful dinner of steak and... More

We go back to WV a couple of times a year and always try to stay at the Inn. Between Will, Jill, Rhonda & Rita, we have no wants. The food is great, rooms are nice and clean, although a little rustic. Great area for fishing, hunting, and the winding roads are a dream for the bikers. Lots of history... More

because there's nothing to do- no tv, no wifi, no cell, not even a phone in the room. At least I had Kindle. Might be better on a busier night if the in-house Irish bar gets busy. Nice staff, clean room, good place to go if you want to be sure you rest- I got a good 10 hours of... More

My fiance and I stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time.....very relaxing and laid back, as soon as we arrived we felt as if we walked into the home of family. The innkeeper and his wife were so very friendly, they were there if we needed them and also left us have our privacy. we never made... More

I came here to review this inn and share what a fantastic time my family had. I was a bit shocked to see that another reviewer said it "wasn't for kids" because I came away from this place with the exact opposite opinion. We were in the area hoping to catch some of the views of the autumn leaves and... More

I found this place online by accident when the place we wanted to stay at was closed for the weekend. The cabin is impressive, to say the least and you won't find friendlier service. I would give anything to have half of Will's energy, he's constantly moving about and has such a great attitude, whistling the whole way. The first... More

Our family has been to the area several times to enjoy the skiing at snowshoe. We always go during Christmas break (the most expensive, but easiest time for our family)and have always stayed on the mountain. However, this past year we decided to stay off the mountain because there was a larger group this go around and we simply could... More

My husband and I took our children (8 and 3) for an overnight trip to the mountains. We were having a wonderful time after diner listening to the music and singing along. Our children were between spending time with us or a few feet away in the "children's area" playing with the toys and reading books. Quite suddenly Will stormed... More

While the rooms are simply appointed, you can't describe this place as "no frills." The wraparound country porch begs you to sit and relax. The rear deck is bathed by the sound of the creek running behind the property. Many evenings you can enjoy local musicians playing in the downstairs "Pub," and if no one else is scheduled, Will and... More
