Tucked away down a tiny lane in rural Sussex, this is a really welcoming and comfortable base for exploring a fascinating area. We stayed in the annexe which has a private terrace (just a pity it rained for some of our stay) and is very comfortable (although others' advice on bumping heads on the ceiling slopes should be heeded!). Scott... More

Despite the name, this is actually a handsome tile-hung Sussex house of indeterminate age but some with parts quite recent. We were billeted in an annexe which was the loft to the cart lodge. It had been modernised and was very cosy. It was nicely furnished as a bed sitting room and in a rustic style. I had to remember... More

Just had a 2 night stay on my own. Scott and his breakfasts were outstanding and could not do enough. Very comfortable room with all the mod cons above the car port next to the stables so private access. Luxurious bathroon. An added bonus was having the private terrace too. Lovely quiet location with direct access to Weald Way public... More

Stayed 3 nights at this great find in Blackboys nr Uckfield. The owners/hosts Scott and Nicki were very friendly and helpful during the course of the stay. The accommodation was very comfortable and finished to an impeccable standard. The breaskfast were tasty and not too filling (just right). I highly recommend this accommodation to others, especailly those looking for somewhere... More

Absolutely beautiful surroundings, a gorgeous and spotless room and our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating! We spent 2 nights there and were treated with a delicious cooked breakfast on one morning and a lovely packed one (at out request) for the train on our departure. Very highly recommended and would happily return.

2 nights stay in beautiful surroundings, accompanied by a 5 star breakfast, proper sausages! Excellent hosts Scott and Nicki who couldn't do enough for us, even supplying us with an excellent "packed breakfast" which was much appreciated as we made our way through the Dartford tunnel back to Norfolk. I left my jacket in one of the closets which they... More

We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed much longer! We only met Scott and he was lovely and can cook a mean breakfast. He is very knowledgable about the area and indeed his home, a lovely experience. Tickerage castle is down a narrow lane and was a little difficult to find as the post code stops at Pound... More

I stumbled across this beautiful bed and breakfast while staying away for business. When driving down the windy country lanes, you pass such amazing buildings that look as though they’ve come out of a fairy tale book. Tickerage Castle is a stunning building that feels like the dream country home that everyone dreams of. It’s run by a lovely couple... More
