This was our second visit to this great wee hotel. The food is wonderful , the decor quirky with a medieval twist and the fantastic staff go just that little bit further to make you feel that you are special. And let's face it , how often do you get to stay in a castle ........ more

Nicely decorated room, lovely views, four poster bed for just £70 and good food. However, the stairs an landing need attention as they still look like they're from the old peoples' home. Creepy. While attending the scottish bull terrier club show at alva, we stayed overnight. We were made very welcome in a lovely hotel,nice rooms and a great breakf ast . My wife and I stayed here recently, sadly for only one night. We were travelling through Scotland and made a late booking which resulted in us being given a beautiful upgraded room for one of the lowest prices we had paid during our holiday.
