This is the place if you want to stay overnight in a castle at a reasonable price. The breakfast was nice too. The only improvement I would suggest is providing guests with more historical information about the castle (year built, history of who lived there, etc...). And maybe print some postcards as momentos.

What Broomhall Castle really delivers is that wonderful feeling of "All this? For me?". You really are staying in a castle, and you won't forget it for a moment. The rooms have all the mod-cons, but plenty of period details haunt this building, from its days as a private home through to a visit from the Luftwaffe and even its... More

This is a difficult one to make a judgement upon, I get pulled in different directions each time I think about it! A hotel with not a large number of rooms may find it difficult to justify the expenditure required to get everything up to scratch, or to add all those extra touches. Big, high ceilinged rooms, are difficult to... More

thank you for your review and the points raised, and most importantly that overall you enjoyed your stay at the castle, we are working our way around updating and fixing all the little points that we can, and the main problem we are up against is how busy we have been! which is a good complaint to have and this... We recently stayed there with out 2 girls. The staff was very friendly. We were all very excited to stay in a castle for the first time. The food in the restaurant we thought was good. It was so good, that we ate there on both nights that we were there. The lamb was excellent that we ordered it twice.... More

Broomhall is set in a lovely location with staff who cannot do enough for you. My daughter's wedding ran like clockwork due to Gavin's superb timetable and unobtrusive control of the day. Guests were blown away by the wonderful venue, fantastic food and the attitude of all staff. Thank you, we will talk about this weekend for a very long... More

Yes, as castles go, it's not the grandest and bits of it are a bit tastefully down at heel, but the rooms are gorgeous, beds are comfy, the baths are amazing, the staff cannot do enough for you, the evening menu good and the breakfasts (included in price) are exceptional. My advice is, for the same price, ditch the Premier Inns... More

Looks like a baronial home rather than a castle, and inside doesn't have a castle feel. The yardages of fabric hung on curtain rods does not a castle make! The amount of work to transform from whatever it was previously must be very expensive. It has the potential to be SO MUCH MORE and I wish the owner well in... More

Thank you for your review, we are always welcome of honest opinions, as without them we cannot improve.. We do avertise ourselves in our description on all websites as a Baronial Mansion, the building was called Broomhall Castle before we took it over and felt it best to keep the name! We are still working on it and are getting... More

We had booked three venues to look at for our wedding and Broomhall was the first we would visit in January 2012. We met up with Rod and Ty and were taking through the venue, shown the room they use for the ceremony and then the hall they use for the meal and evening section of the wedding. The castle... More

The castle looks nice from a distance, and the staff were friendly, but our room did not have the best view (a rooftop) and lacked a "castle" feeling inside. Enjoyed our stay but the food was very average and not a great deal of choice on the menu.

Hi there thank you for leaving a review, not sure what to say other than I am sorry the meal and view were not what you expected, yes some of our rooms are to the rear of the castle and one looks out over a flat roof to the Ochil Hills behind, alas if the hotel is full we need... More

Hotel looks nice from outside despite poor driveway. No real reception which is different but staff appeared and check-in was okay. Horrible lift, did not feel safe at all so we took the stairs thereafter. The room was a bit dusty in places but nice enough. The view was down over houses. The public areas were bland, the dining room-and... More

I feel I may have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with you before, and if I recall my Spanish waiter and young waitress both felt that you were a rude, horrible old woman with demands of excellence far above your station when you visited our Torquey guest house! If anyone on here reading this actually believes the slanderous drivel... More
