Mandy greeted us on arrival with copious amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits and lots of smiles and chatter. The evening meal was 3 course, lots of it and very tasty, bed breakfast and evening meal for £35! Wow fabulous. Room excellent, the view out of the lounge window to die for. What more can I say? Up this north... More

Great place to stay in Altnahharra! on 1st leg of John O'Groats to Lands End bike ride, we arrived cold and soaking wet, Mandy and Lindsey dried all our clothes overnight and supplied us with a hot meal and comfortable room, all for £35 each! Best stop of bike ride, cannot recommend highly enough

Just off the main road sits a fantastiic B&B that was the most warm and welcomng of the many I stayed at on my cycle north to John o'Groats from Land's End. Mandy's kindness will make you feel comfortable after a long day of cycling, Lindsay will take your bike and lock it securely away in the shed and then... More

Fabulous nights stay when cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. Warm welcome, cosy, great food and loads of wildlife on the doorstep. Wild deer grazing the grass outside my window early in the morning. Beautiful views in a quite relaxed setting.

Stayed on the penultimate night of our LeJog cycle, Mandy was an excellent host, food was fantastic, couldn't have asked for a better stay. If only more b&b's were run like this. Thanks again for making our stay such a pleasure and making us feel so welcome. Ignore the cyclists "shed" over the road, this is the place to stay... More

Extremely friendly B & B. You cannot stop yourself warming to Mandy and Lindsay. The room was spacious but a little bit tired but that was the only negative thing I could say. Breakfast and evening meal was excellent especially at £35 pppn! Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay again and wholeheartedly would recommend their establishment. A... More

During horrible weather, we were forced to make a stop in Altnaharra. Mandy was very welcoming, and warmed us immediately with toast and tea. She refused to let us pay. Whilst there, I saw comfortable and clean facilities, a large twin-room with ensuite, and a warm dining room. There is a large garden with animals. The nice exceptional kindness of... More

I stayed here in April 2015 whilst on a solo cycle trip in the area. On arrival I was greeted by the friendly host who gave me tea & biscuits, also secure storage for my cycle. I had previously been offered an evening meal when I initially booked so I had this which was a 3 course meal which was... More

I spent several excellent days at this venue with a friend. We both thought that the venue and the people running it were first class. Nothing was too much trouble and the meals provided were superb. We both felt "at home" and were made to feel like a part of the family. The couple who run the B&B are good... More
