We stayed on New Years Eve, a Christmas present from my daughter and son so we didn't have to drive home after the Ceilidh at Carfraemill. What a beautiful place to stay. The room had everything we needed and more. So very comfortable, a huge bed, ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities with biscuits. We were made very welcome by... More

We stayed for two nights and they were so welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Bedroom was lovely, large with a 6' wide bed. Comfortable upstairs lounge for guests with whiskey and port available to help yourself to before bed. Lots of choice for breakfast, including fresh fruit salad and cold meats and cheeses and little extras. Ideally placed... More

Had a lovely stay at Lornebank. Were made to feel very welcome. We had a dog, and he was made welcome too. The room was lovely and the breakfast was yummy. The house was very central to where we needed to be. The village of Lauder is very friendly. We felt very comfortable there. We would most definitely recommend.

It isn't surprising that Lornebank Homestay has so many positive reviews. This is a wonderful place to stay. Margot and Les are gracious, generous and so very friendly. My husband and I walked from Melrose to Lauder on this stage of the Southern Upland Way and were welcomed with tea and the most AMAZING homemade Scottish shortbread. Just what we... More

I can highly recommend Lornebank Homestay. My daughter and I were walking the Southern Upland Way and had an overnight stay here and it was perfect. Lovely welcome with tea and shortbread in the residents lounge. Our room was spacious and the shower brilliant. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Our time at Lornebank Homestay was a real highlight of our time in the UK. The room was luxurious and the breakfasts were very high quality. Margot was so helpful and really made sure our time in Scotland was perfect in every way. We wanted to go horseback riding, but the place I found online wasn't responding; fortunately Margot knew...
