Had a lovely stay at Lornebank. Were made to feel very welcome. We had a dog, and he was made welcome too. The room was lovely and the breakfast was yummy. The house was very central to where we needed to be. The village of Lauder is very friendly. We felt very comfortable there. We would most definitely recommend.

It isn't surprising that Lornebank Homestay has so many positive reviews. This is a wonderful place to stay. Margot and Les are gracious, generous and so very friendly. My husband and I walked from Melrose to Lauder on this stage of the Southern Upland Way and were welcomed with tea and the most AMAZING homemade Scottish shortbread. Just what we... More

Lovely welcome with tea and shortbread in the residents lounge. Our room was spacious and the shower brilliant. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The personal touch of a chocolate on our pillow... More

Our time at Lornebank Homestay was a real highlight of our time in the UK. The room was luxurious and the breakfasts were very high quality. Margot was so helpful and really made sure our time in Scotland was perfect in every way. We wanted to go horseback riding, but the place I found online wasn't responding; fortunately Margot knew... I cannot rate Lornebank Homestay highly enough. We booked back in the summer to stay here for a wedding which was taking place 4 miles away at the end of October. I booked it because it was a very good deal and seemed lovely from the website. In addition, in her communications, Margot was prompt and answered all my questions... More

Charming period B & B accommodation with a few extra touches that make your stay special. We were met by the proprietor on arrival who showed us to our spacious and exceptionally clean double room. We then went on to the lounge which was very comfortable with a huge sofa and comfy chairs, where we were brought tea and shortbread... More
