I cannot rate Lornebank Homestay highly enough. We booked back in the summer to stay here for a wedding which was taking place 4 miles away at the end of October. I booked it because it was a very good deal and seemed lovely from the website. In addition, in her communications, Margot was prompt and answered all my questions... More

Charming period B & B accommodation with a few extra touches that make your stay special. We were met by the proprietor on arrival who showed us to our spacious and exceptionally clean double room. We then went on to the lounge which was very comfortable with a huge sofa and comfy chairs, where we were brought tea and shortbread... More

Very nice place to stay, lovely looking old stone house with modern, fresh interior decoration. Spacious room, clean and very comfortable bigger than double bed. Excellent wholesome and very filling breakfast, very well cooked. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Place to store our bicycles and lounge to relax in too. Busy road but we didnt hear a thing. Off road... More

A beautiful house. Wonderful hosts. Very comfortable room. Superb breakfast. You are made to feel very welcome and part of the family. It's just a great way to enjoy a break away. The use of the lounge and all the little extra touches make this a special place to stay in a very scenic and under rated part of Scotland... More

Our first visit to this fantastic B&B but hopefully not our last. Felt more like a hotel but even better because of the warm welcome, comfy huge bed & the little extras provided by Margot which I will keep a secret! Margot & her family made it a special start to our day when we joined them in celebrating the Common... More

My husband and I stayed last week at Lornebank and booked literally on the spot having been let down with other accommodation. The room we had was lovely and so clean and comfortable. Margot and her husband gave us such a warm and friendly welcome. Breakfast 10 out of 10.

We stopped her for one night, whilst walking the Southern Upland Way. It was the best B&B of our walk - a beautiful, elegant house, with charming hosts and a lovely lounge for guests. Also the best breakfast.

We stayed one night. The house is splendid, with large, dramatic rooms. Our room had an extremely comfortable king-sized bed with ensuite bathroom (the other rooms have an external private bathroom). Warm and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, well cooked and with a good choice. Margot and Leslie gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful.

The room I stayed in was large and airy, proper wood furniture and nicely decorated the bathroom and toilet was adjacent just outside the room, a lovely comfortable bed with nice quality bedding. A slight problem I en-counted was that all the sockets are very low on the skirting boards which makes it a little difficult to get plugs in.... More
