I spent two nights at Barley Bree at the end of January to celebrate a birthday with my family. Alison, Fabrice and the team could not have done more to make this a birthday to remember. From the incredible food and wine to the log fires in the dining room and lounge it was all just perfect. Thank you, again... More

Staying at Glenmor Gleneagles we have been intending visiting thr Barley Bree for a meal and at last got round to it with a reservation for Sunday lunch at 3pm - they serve all afternoon. Arriving 20 mins early we were shown initially to a table but preferred a drink in the lounge to peruse the menu, wine list and... More

Enjoyed a really fantastic meal with friends. Weather was poor getting there but boy was it worth it. Great ,food , service and atmosphere. One of the best in the area and would suggest to anyone to give it a try.

We stumbled upon this wonderful trip out this afternoon with our daughter. We were welcomed by the lovely waitress into a beautifully designed dining room. Limited menu for lunch but the choices looked lovely. My husband and I both had the sea bass which was beautifully grilled and served with sushi rice. The chef kindly supplemented the rice for a... This a lovely restaurant with 6 rooms in a pleasant Perthshire village. We had a truly excellent tasting menu meal on Hogmonay and stayed over in one of the very comfortable rooms. The welcome from Alison and her staff was warm, and we will definitely return in the future. As an added bonus, they can accommodate a gluten free diet... More

The meals were delicious, the best of our trip, and served in the delightful restaurant of their 300 year old building. We cozied up to the fireplace and enjoyed chatting with the delightful staff. The bedrooms, small by American standards, were very comfy and updated. The sitting room, or snugly, was charming. We would come back.

Scottish ingredients, French cooking. Outstanding quality, in a totally unpretentious settings. Rooms are comfy and basic, the food never fails to stop our conversations. A true treat. We have been many times and are never disappointed.

First visit for lunch last Saturday. Arrived interested, left as converts. Difficult to fault any aspect - not five stars because we don't use the fifth. The two of us deliberately chose different dishes and shared, and the standard was the same for all - very good indeed. This is a place that really respects good quality ingredients. We have... My partner and I have always went to Barley Bree on special occasions as we have found the food and wine to be of exceptional quality and Fabrice is a top class chef. So, big disappointment for us on Saturday night. My partner had the sea bass, which was excellent and the noodles served with it were delicious. However, I... More

My husband and I recently purchased a package to attend the Ryder Cup in Scotland from Executive Golf and Leisure. One of the hotels to choose from was the 6 room Barley Bree about 15 minutes from Gleneagles Resort/ Ryder Cup. We are extremely happy to have stayed there. Alison Bouteloup and her husband Fabrice are perfect hosts. He cooks... More
