This is the second time I have stayed at Lock Shiel Hotel, and my parents have used this hotel a few times. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The service, food and accommodation was excellent. We will definitely stay again.

We went to celebrate Hogmanay and explore the area. The hotel is perfectly situated and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The managers, Simon and Christine are extremely professional and welcoming and instantly make you feel at home. They can not do enough to make sure your experience with them is second to none, they are both a credit to the... More

Just returned from a Hogmanay trip to Acharacle (self-catering) but visited the Loch Shiel Hotel for evening drinks and lunch the next day. Even with an inquisitive 2-year old in tow the staff were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. When we ran out of tatties for our tea they helped us out there as well. Next visit we'll just stay... More

We went to the hotel for a meal to celebrate our young son's birthday. Wow - they even put balloons on the chairs and got him a wee pressie. Really thoughtful and made him and us feel special. The food was excellent and really good value. Thanks to all of you!

Warm welcome at this friendly hotel. Bedrooms spotlessly clean & well decorated. Good dinner but service could be a wee bit better - had to go to the bar to prompt staff we were ready to order as the waiting staff seemed to forget about us! But food was good & the fire was on so it was nice &... More

The rooms were clean and comfortable with excellent views. The food was of a high standard including local produce and reasonably priced. The breakfast had... More

Can't comment on the rooms, as we just stopped off for food here a couple of times during a week's break in the area. Friendly staff and delicious home-made and well presented food, served up by an open fire. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area - need to try more of those desserts!
