We stayed here for 3 nights in June and so pleased we did. A real homely place where nothing is too much trouble. Drinking in the bar (well kept beers and a good selection of beers) one is made to feel so welcome, chatting to locals. The dinners are superb, interesting dishes all home cooked. The breakfasts are excellent, including... More

We visited for our wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Stunning setting on the banks of Loch Eck. All the staff were lovely and helpful and Craig the owner was lovely to chat with while he looked after everyone on the bar. Thoroughly deserves his nomination for friendliest bar in the Scotland (possibly the uk). The food was delicious and... More

We had a large family group get together here for lunch including two babies and a toddler and they accommodated us nicely. (They have one high chair, we brought one with us) The food was delicious (especially sticky toffee pudding!) and the atmosphere cozy. Great service and beautiful loch views.

I used to come to the Coylet as a teen with my parents in the early 80s. The place hasn't changed a bit (which is good)! Great little pub and 4 rooms upstairs for rent that are a little small, but what they lack in amenities (no TV, slow WiFi) they make up for in history. I stayed here because... More

We found this inn via the Good Beer Guide, and stopped here en route from Surrey to Inverness (we prefer to take the scenic routes). Comfortable room on second floor with fabulous view over Loch Eck (even the loo had clear glass so you could sit on it and admire the scenery - don't worry; no-one could see in!). Excellent... More

Fancied a wee one night away with our labrador near the water as she loves to swim. Beautiful setting and only hour and a half from glasgow(we got ferry from gourock and buy ticket in coop at gourock as cheaper). Room immaculate and food brill and reasonably priced. Lovely cosy bar with fire and even a soaking wet dog was... More

We stayed for three nights the second weekend of May, we've been several times before and are always drawn back there. The views are enchanting and the regular people in the bar are always welcoming and sociable. The food is very nice too. Everything is quite rustic and down to earth which makes for a relaxing time with real charm.... More

This is not the most sophisticated establishment.......it's much better than that......... Run by a personable and genuine young couple, friendly staff, friendly locals, great beers, superb gantry including our favourite Botanist Gin from Islay, great fresh local food, nice rooms overlooking the loch allowing you to soak in a bath and enjoy the view, rustic bar with log fire, cosy... We spent two nights at The Coylet Inn with our dog and what a great wee place it is! I honestly couldn't fault it at all. The room was lovely with fantastic views across Loch Eck, the beer selection was great with some brilliant local Fyne Ales available and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was amazing - particularly all...
