We stayed here recently and Craig and Pip could not have made us more welcome or have been more helpful, we have not received service this high for a long time. When we booked, asking for a familly room, it was explained that they didn't have any but would be quite happy to put a Z-bed in the room and... More

This hotel is set in an idyllic location with the loch directly opposite. We had a fabulous room with a huge bathroom and a large bedroom with views of the loch. Our bed was really comfortable and we had a small sofa in the window to take in the view. We ate in the hotel on our first night and... More

Just wonderful!! We stayed here for one night and honestly can stay for much longer! Perfect location to explore the beautiful Argyll forest park. Our room is clean and has perfect view of loch Eck. Food (both dinner and breakfast) is delicious and staff very attentive and helpful. Everything is well priced. The residence dog Tim is just too adorable!!... More

My husband and I had a busy day gardening and looked forward to going out for an evening meal. We booked a table for two at eight o'clock on the 10th May 2014. Not impressed at all with the meal or the waiting staff. We would not recommend this place. We are both local and live close by. We have... More

One of the most beautiful spots we have stayed anywhere in the world, this is an old world quaint place to relax and get away from it all, this inn is right on the bank of Loch Eck with stunning views of the Loch and hills and the hills reflected in the Loch. The smell of the log fire greets you... More

Can't recommend this Inn enough - stunning location, traditional old Inn, very clean and well kept, very friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous olde worlde en suite room and delicious food . Only two minor suggestions - would have been nice to have had proper wee dinner rolls instead of white pan bread and rather than the delicious venison chilli just... More

Went for lunch here and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the owners very friendly. Definitely lived up to what people had told us. Would highly recommend this place and I believe that it is now far better than the Whistlefield.

The log burning fires in both the lounge and restaurant are lovely, and owners of just a few years, are Craig and Philippa, who are a young couple making a good impression. The food is great, and very reasonably priced. The... More
