We (seven people) have spent a week in a house next to the hotel owned by the same person, Patricia. Warm people, beautiful place and excellent food. If you are a fanatic of langoustine (as it is my case), this is your place.

Stayed overnight for wedding anniversay, was very busy, room nice and extremely clean. Great view from room. Beautiful view of the kyles and tHe ferry port to Bute. Hotel was noisy but what would you expect on a Saturday night. Food was ok . Staff very friendly and attentive.

I have visited the Colintraive Hotel on many occasions usually by boat, there are free moorings available to patrons of the hotel. There is always a warm welcome the food is excellent and there is a huge choice much of which is local produce. We have stayed in the hotel once the rooms are very comfortable with great views.

We stayed a Saturday night prior to a trip to Bute. We were warmly welcomed, enjoyed a very comfortable room, had a tasty dinner in the bar selected from an interesting blackboard menu, real ale, super atmosphere, great location, exceptional staff. Just our kind of place and highly recommend it.

We've just spent a couple of wonderful nights in this great wee hotel. There are only 4 rooms so you have to book early. All the rooms are different, all tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. Two of the rooms have beautiful views over the sea to the Island of Bute. You can eat in the bar or restaurant and the... More

My husband booked two nights at this hotel for my birthday treat. Everything was wonderful including the beautiful room, the delicious food, extremely attentive and friendly staff and Patricia made us feel very welcome. The hotel is set in a picturesque corner of Scotland with great walks and activities nearby. We found the local people to be extremely friendly, warm... More

We stayed at the Colintraive Hotel for one night in 2nd week May 2014, whilst visiting Dununs Castle approx. 12 miles away. This I believe is the only "local" within that type of radius. There is no doubting the beautiful location of the hotel and we were warmly greeted by the Prorietrix on arrival. We had booked the Cala Room... More

Great to hear you really liked your room, staff and location. We are very proud of what the hotel and Colintraive has to offer. I was rather surprised at your summary of your dinning experience. Your wife ordered a starter portion of "king scallops on Stornoway black pudding". Which as you mentioned is exactly what she received, so if it... More

We stopped here on a misty Bank Holiday Sunday miorning. Welcomed with an open fire and a bit early for lunch we had a coffee and read the papers. Later we had lunch which was very good. My partner had the seafood salad which looked spectacular and was delicious.. (I know because it was too much for her to finish... More

This was my first A/L after a long hard shift at work. First of all , it has one of my favourite craft beers on tap - a good start. But it's the food... Wow! I have eaten at the best in Oban "The seafood capital of Scotland" but have not experienced anything nearly as tasty as this. It's like... More

Stayed here overnight while kayaking at the kyles of bute. Fantastic location right next to the ferry. Nice clean rooms , good shower . But the star of the show was the food in the bar. Fantastic seafood and steaks. Patricia , the owner, was terrific. Busy, friendly and organised. Will take my wife for lunch soon
