Excellent place for a wee chilling brake - we stayed there for a couple of nights. More important, it's a pet friendly hotel. Very nice people working there - excellent service; lovely food - fresh, local, big portions, the chef is making amazing dishes; comfortable and spacious rooms - cosy, clean and properly looked after. Special thanks to Gosia, a... More

We ate at The Colintraive hotel on our recent stay in Argyll. The food is fantastic and the service was excellent. We ate in the bar area and found it to be cosy and friendly. The menu is huge and varied and the haddock I ate was 'just caught' fresh. a huge thanks to the staff who were exceptional!

We went to this hotel specifically for the food. We had heard it was lovely. We were not let down. A great choice of starters mains and desserts. All made from scratch by chef David Cummings. I had the fish pie. Knew it would be lovely as seafood in this restaurant is boat to table fresh. I was not disappointed. It... More

We (seven people) have spent a week in a house next to the hotel owned by the same person, Patricia. Warm people, beautiful place and excellent food. If you are a fanatic of langoustine (as it is my case), this is your place.

I have visited the Colintraive Hotel on many occasions usually by boat, there are free moorings available to patrons of the hotel. There is always a warm welcome the food is excellent and there is a huge choice much of which is local produce. We have stayed in the hotel once the rooms are very comfortable with great views.

We stayed a Saturday night prior to a trip to Bute. We were warmly welcomed, enjoyed a very comfortable room, had a tasty dinner in the bar selected from an interesting blackboard menu, real ale, super atmosphere, great location, exceptional staff. Just our kind of place and highly recommend it.

We've just spent a couple of wonderful nights in this great wee hotel. There are only 4 rooms so you have to book early. All the rooms are different, all tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. Two of the rooms have beautiful views over the sea to the Island of Bute. You can eat in the bar or restaurant and the... More

My husband booked two nights at this hotel for my birthday treat. Everything was wonderful including the beautiful room, the delicious food, extremely attentive and friendly staff and Patricia made us feel very welcome. The hotel is set in a picturesque corner of Scotland with great walks and activities nearby. We found the local people to be extremely friendly, warm... More
