Stumbled upon here and stopped for lunch. Was nice had a blt panini bacon fatty but picked it off. Husband enjoyed his lunch and so did my son with sausages and mash. Drinks took while to arrive but waitresses realised and knocked them off our bill. Puddings was lovely. Has the potential to be very good just needs tweaked a... More

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel in the countryside near Ballater and Braemer. The staff was very friendly , the rooms comfortable and the food wonderfull. A great place to stay. In the bar and lounge we enjoyed our drink waiting for the friendly staff to bring us to our table for dinner. Funny detail: the fluffy sheep... More

We didn't stay overnight, but dropped in for lunch as we usually just drive past. We ordered the haddock with poached egg and mash along with the venison. Both meals were lukewarm when they arrived. My husband had requested no veg with his venison, just a salad, but this did not happen. My haddock was overcooked and everything warm rather... More

I have driven past this Hotel hundreds of times but finally stopped today for a late lunch. Good menu. Food was freshly prepared and cooked. We both had the smoked Haddock with creamy mash followed by crème Brulee and I had the whisky and orange bread pudding which was out of this world. Will definitely be back.

Have stayed here twice now and was great. So quiet and a good meal had. Second stay was the bridal suite at the top with 4 poster bed, hot tub, seperate living room. Quite an old and outdated place, but it adds to the experience which was nice.

I recently stayed in the lodges at this hotel. To start with the positives, the location is excellent, the hotel itself cosy and quiet. The lodges however, while ideal for large family groups and very child friendly, could do with an overhaul. Tiny single beds for adults made for a poor nights sleep. The furniture in the living area was... More

Our family congregated In the Loch Kinord Hotel for the weekend whilst attending a family wedding in nearby Glen Tanar. It was an ideal location, easily accessible and easy to find. Organising families is akin to 'herding cats' - but Andrew and his team were very patient and accommodated our every request, including facilitating our mother who has very limited... More

A lovely hotel with extremely comfortable rooms in glorious surroundings. A very warm welcome is always extended to us on our visits. Excellent food which is always perfectly cooked. A cosy little bar with an open fire, a welcome appreciated on a cold winters night.

Stopped here for lunch (dog friendly in bar) and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance. It is by no means inexpensive, but the food is excellent. The serving of lunch was a bit slow as a large party had just come in, but the staff handled it very well and it allowed us to savour the atmosphere.... More
