This year we decided to stay 2 nights rather than one - to attend social events in the Deeside area. We knew that we would be warm, comfortable and well looked after and we were not disappointed. The new bio-mass heating system ensured that we were toasty warm and the food and service were better than ever. This is a... More

£160 odd for DBB for two. Not out of the way, but well it could be better, Rooms not huge, bathroom was, never had a room with it's own ironing board, pity it was on the back of the Loo door and clanked every time you opened and shut the door. I was really looking forward to the Super Special... More

Stayed overnight on returning from trip to Aberdeen, together with our German Shepherd, Kaizer. Excellent location, easy access to Aberdeen yet well away from the city and in a small rural village, hotel backs onto woods leading to Loch Kinord. The hotel looks very traditional both outside and in and the friendly and helpful staff made all of us most... More

We stayed in a 3-bedroomed lodge at the Loch Kinord Hotel for my brother's wedding last weekend. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience to complement the dream of a wedding we attended! The hotel itself is very Scottish and comfortable and I loved the décor. The owners and staff couldn't had done more to make us... More

The Loch Kinord is a superbly run and staffed hotel; The proprietors Andrew and Jenny can't do enough for you. The lounge areas are comfortable and homely with a stunning dining room. The food is excellent and there is a great selection of malts to try in the bar. The Kinord made our wedding weekend extra special and we can't... More

We recently stayed in this hotel with an American friend and were initially rather surprised to see it right by the road prompting a little concern. However, once inside our worries vanished. The rooms were plenty big enough, ours had a four poster, decorated with tartan and with a lovely balcony where we sat on the first evening with a... More

Popped in for a meal during our holiday in the area. The venison melts in your mouth and sea bass fresh and light. Dessert freshly made and tasty. Yes maybe slightly expensive but you get good fresh Scottish food. Entrance of hotel needs a little TLC maybe. Lovely lounge to retire to with drinks.

Great location for walkers etc. The rooms are a bit tired but more than adequate for a couple of nights stay. The start of breakfast is a little late. But the biggest selling point of this hotel is the staff. We arrived late, minutes before last orders in restaurant, and had to leave early next day before breakfast was served.... More

This was pleasant stop near Balmoral Castle. The hotel has smallish rooms, but comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Dinner at the hotel is a prix fix menu that was a little pricey - but tasty. There was a large chez lounge in our room for some reason ... it absorbed nearly 25% of the available space.

We had a lovely room for us and two dogs with a balcony on the ground floor. The beds are very comfortable and the food is great. The dinner is a bit expensive but of very good quality - We had a starter of Stornoway black pudding followed by venison and sea bass both of which were very good. There... More
