The present owners are really trying hard to make the Loch Kinord Hotel into a quality establishment. They are mostly getting there. I went here for lunch over summer. It was nice. It certainly wasn't very busy (only 4 other tables occupied). The food was good, but not exceptional. Unfortunately there is stiff competition on Royal Deeside now-a-days and I... More

Paid my first visit to the Loch Kinord with friends to have lunch which we had pre-booked. On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who welcomed us and showed us to our reserved table in the lounge providing menus etc. The menu for lunch was varied to suit all tastes and reasonably priced. Our meal was well... More

We stayed in one of the lodges for our Honeymoon for a week. The staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. The lodge was very well kept, had everything we needed (big kitchen, hob, oven, big fridge/freezer, microwave, all the bits and bobs you need for a self catering week) and it was lovely; lots of big windows looking out into... I stayed with my family for 3 nights at Loch Kinord Hotel in September. The weather was cold, as it often is in Scotland, but the hotel was warm and inviting with friendly staff. This is a family run enterprise and the staff go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. We stayed for breakfast and dinner and... More

We took the family here (aged from 8 - 75!) for lunch on a dreary Sunday. The fires were lit and the lounge was cosy and comfortable with the staff friendly and welcoming. The menu was well thought out, offering something for everyone and the food was delicious. We would not hesitate to return. Excellent value, too!

This Victorian style hotel is well appointed and has delightful outside dining and bar areas. We had a plentiful and good quality lunch at reasonable cost. Service by the one waitress was efficient and pleasant. We had to wait for our food but only because everything was freshly cooked.

Quiet, friendly, just what we wanted with elderly parents. Good food, rooms comfortable if a bit small, reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and accommodating. The location is excellent; walking distance from Loch Kinord, and easy driving to Braemar and Balmoral and Muir of Dinnet NNR

The stay at this hotel was absolutely flawless. I honestly could not fault a thing. Went away with my girlfriend and booked the master room, it came with a king size 4 posted bed and a jacuzzi bath and the price was phenomenal value for money. Just over £100. When most othet deluxe/master rooms with saunas/hot tubs etc are quite... More

Friendly, traditional hotel in Dinnet. Good location within easy reach of Ballater, Aboyne, Braemar etc. We booked a superior room which was lovely with its own balcony onto the garden at the side. Good facilities, although the shower room was small & shower probably could do with an upgrade as it took a while to get hot water. Dined in... More

Really impressed with the hotel and all its staff. Obviously returning to former glory, it's clear that the owners really care about their hotel. The breakfast was great - my girlfriend had specified that she was a vegetarian (expecting fruit and cereal but the hotel had bought in some Vegetarian sausages etc specially!!)
