Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading reviews . Not sure why they had been so bad . Maybe bit on the quiet side? Room was lovely , bed comfy and loads of towels in bathroom. Ate here last night - had sausage and champ which was lovely . Nothing to fault .

We stayed overnight in a beautiful room with a river view. Dined in the excellent restaurant. We both chose the Mourne lamb dish which was real fine dining. The cheese board was a little disappointing as the cheeses were somewhat similar and, frankly, not that nice. The breakfast was good but had a limited cold range and no choices in... More

Sunday lunch at The Inn in Castledawson was an unexpected delight en route to Belfast. Unlike previous comments, we found the cooking assured and delicious. Scallops were beautifully cooked and presented, garnished with samphire and rare breed pork. Main courses of peppered pork fillet and roast beef (beautifully cooked) were both excellent. This is elegant and assured cooking. A chef... More

Completely dissatisfied with food last night. We would regard ourselves as regular customers to the The-inn Castledawson . I must say after the food my wife and I were served last night, and the attitude of the owner when I complained, that we will never darken the door if this place again. I now understand why we could not get... More

I have just spent 3 pleasant nights at this family run business. The rooms are amazing, being finished to a very high standard, and kept immaculately. The food is a real treat, being cooked to your taste and very well presented. All the hotel staff seem to have you first name tagged within minutes, which lends an air of friendliness... More

We had our staff meal here in December 2012. I have to say that it was the worst meal I have ever had. I had tasteless scallops to start with followed by raw duck served with a minuscule portion of rice. When I complained about the side order I was told "it was quality, not quantity". I'm afraid I got... More

This is a Botique Hotel with the high standards you would expect from such an establishment but with none of the affectation or high prices . We spent one night in this twelve bedroom hotel and found it a delight the owner and her staff were warm and welcoming the restaurant ( Monday night ) provided a meal of high... More

I had to find somewhere to stay for the night found the Inn very comfortable and relaxing, the room was very clean and tidy just what you need for a good night sleep.. The food was also very good.. If I wasn't rushed I would of stayed a few more days to see the area, as it was good for... More

My wife & I stayed for 2 nights to have a couple of quiet nights and a good rest. The Inn Castledawson was easy to find and the accommodation was outstanding. The entire place was spotless and tastefully decorated. The dining room and public areas were spacious and modern. The staff were courteous and helpful. The owners gave us a... More

Spotless, spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed. Good quality bathroom linen. Very quiet at night - a good thing. Friendly reception; a bit more functional at breakfast. Food good but not quite the standard the price led me to expect: £68 single B&B.
