Went here for lunch today had the worst meal ever place resembled a jumble sale books and CDs for sale all over the place, coke served out of cans not even kept cold very disappointed I'd stay away from this place if you want quality food

We booked to stay here whilst attending a concert in Cardiff. We found it through Cardiff Tourist Information. The room was basic but had everything we needed. The owners were delightful and helped us with taxi's. The breakfast was lovely and would recommend this establishment if your want somewhere quiet.

Having looked at previous reviews I cannot understand other comments. I found this place through Cardiff tourist information. And they were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are basic but very clean, and for £60 pounds a night with a cooked breakfast it's very good value. (And the breakfast was lovely) Very peaceful location as well, if I ever visit... More

The best cooked dinner's ever. We travel over 6 miles to dine on the best sunday lunches i've ever eaten, with amazing "REAL" gravy, beautifully cooked meats and fresh vegtables. It doesn't get better.

The Greendown Inn is located in the village of St George's Super Ely just a few miles out of Cardiff. I booked a table for Sunday lunch a couple of weekends ago after a friend told me that she could recommend their roast dinners. When we arrived people were eating in the bar area but we were shown to a... More

Booked the campsite through Caravan Club as a base for Cardiff for Wales -v- England in March. Booked it first, read reviews second, so the four of us were apprehensive about the review regarding the owner and the food. Sounded liked faulty towers!!! We could not have been more wrong. The owners are polite, easy going, very helpful and nothing... More

Used the Greendown Inn Ely as a base for the recent Wales v Ireland Rugby match. We stayed in their small camp site for 2 nights (11th & 12th March). Ok needs a taxi trip in the City, £10-£12 not bad. Bus passes by from time to time, but opted for the taxi. Great pub, nice food, staff very helpful.... More

Peaceful and comfortable accommodation 15 minutes from the centre of Cardiff but you will need transport. Two prolonged stays so far and i would go back anytime. Superb food and very considerate attention to detail.
