Old salt house is a beautiful b&b set in a wonderful location. We stayed 1 night with our two children . Our room was lovely with the character you expect from a 300 year old building. The room was actually two a adjoining rooms so we had privacy from the kids. Lovely bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was charming with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable with views from our window of the river. We particularly enjoyed the use of a tea pot and coffee maker. It was certainly a stay back into the past but with all modern amenities. Have already... More

An oasis of calm. What more could you want. An excellent B&B with comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and a location unbelievably quiet. A view of the river and sailing boats from the bedroom window. We strolled into Chateaulin for dinner each evening and sampled various restaurants. Would particularly recommend Les Cocottes. Lots of places to visit from Port launay. Roads... More

We stayed at Old Salt House a couple of night. The B&B is in a 18th century building that has been restored in an superb way by actual owners. The location is beautiful. The view on the river from the room is lovely. The hosts were very kind and it was a pleasure to stay here.

You would perhaps not immediately tell from the outside, but this place is fabulous! The house has been built some 300 years ago, giving it a special atmosphere, but all modern comfort is present. We stayed there with our 17 years old daughter, she had a separate bedroom connected to ours by a communicating door and we had a bathroom... More

We stayed here with our young daughter and teenage son for a treat at the end of a holiday in France. We were hoping for a comfortable nights sleep, what we received was so much more. Beautiful surroundings, ideal location for cheese, bread and wine on the riverside. Beautifully restored building with gorgeous orginal features. The decor is superb and... More

We spent two nights at the Old Salt House and were very happy with everything. The room was comfortable, the shower was great, the hosts were very accommodating. We also appreciated that there were wine glasses and a corkscrew in our room. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The location was great- a lovely view out the window and a... More

Good B&B for a stop over or a couple of days, lovely view from bedrooms on edge of canal with rooms well presented and free wine. Nearest restaurants in Chateaulin pity they are not that good. Made very welcome but could do with some one there from lunch time at least.
