Marylin was very welcoming and did us a packed lunch for the Wye Valley walk ahead. Taxi was arranged to the source at Plynlimon with ease and help was at hand to get us dry upon our return. Cooked breakfasts were a great feed for the walking ahead and the recommended local called the Bluebell did great food in the... More

Yes, the room was pleasant enough - but I had to laugh when I read the review that said that it was "spotlessly clean". So it was. But the windowless shower-room had been cleaned with some bleach or disinfectant that smelt extremely unpleasant and stronger than the strongest chlorine. I had to hold my breath when I went in and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in August 2014. Very friendly and welcoming, made packed lunches for both days. Nice rooms, spotlessly clean. Big comfortable bed. Breakfast was a real highlight, fresh fruit, great local sausages and eggs, amazing hash browns, and really good filter coffee from a cafetiere. Would definitely stay again.

The B&B is a Victorian vicarage with five (I think) en-suite rooms and a breakfast room downstairs. Interior decoration is to a reasonable standard and the bed we slept in was comfortable enough. Breakfast was awesome - local sausage and bacon, well cooked eggs, mushrooms etc. There was also a fruit salad made fresh that day by the owner. If... More

we arrived at Llangurig after a long day driving up from Cardiff. Marilene the hostess welcomed us and her conversation created a family environment. the room and beds are clean and comfortable and the bathroom very adequate. On Marilene`s directions we ate at the Blue Bell local which provided us with a countryside meal and an enjoyable evening. iLlangurig is... More

We had travelled from Sweden to compete in a motor sport event in the beautiful Wales and just needed somewhere close to sleep. This B&B turned out to be a real positive surprise, completely silent, very clean, really nice hostess and splendid breakfast. I think it would be hard to find a better B&B than this.

Stayed in this little village on our journey through Wales. The Old Vicarage is a lovely old Victorian building and the hostess was most pleasant. Rooms are really comfortable and well appointed. Slept like a baby in the wonderfully quite B and B. Good quality fittings in the bathroom and the breakfast was fantastic, full English, good sausages, nicely cooked... More

We stayed in Room 5. The place was very quiet, very comfortable and clean. Our room was reasonably spacious. Breakfast was substantial & well cooked. I would recommend this place. We ate our evening meal at the local pub (The Black Lion) within very easy walking distance of The Old Vicarage.

We were welcomed with tea and cake (very nice) and throughout our stay we felt very relaxed and comfortable. We were surprised by how peaceful the guesthouse location was; its a short distance from the A44, but we heard no road noise at all. The house is very clean, tastefully furnished and well appointed. It has very attractive Victorian features,... More

The Old Vicarage is a well run B&B in a pleasing large late Victorian house which is up a quiet side street, set back from the road. Comfy beds, big rooms, nice breakfast. The landlady is very helpful. She makes a good packed lunch.
