We arrived at the Stacpole Inn at lunchtime and ate in the bar which was very good. We were able to check in early and shown to our room by the owner ,our room was decorated with a nautical theme, spacious , and on the ground floor of an annexe where the other 3 bedrooms were too. The owner also... More

We live in Abergavenny renouned for its eating places! We have eaten in the majority of these establishments ! None could compare with the amazing food served at the Stackpole Inn when we visited for Sunday lunch. The staff should also receive an award for their excellent approach to diners.

As a couple who normally travel with budgeting in mind we decided to go for it this time and spend 3 nights here and have all our meals at the award winning restaraunt. The quality of the food and the accommodation were outstanding matched by the friendly, welcoming and ever helpful staff. The breakfasts were fantastic with a whole range... More

We stayed overnight at the Stakpole Inn at the end of February. It is a comfortable, simple, pretty Inn with accommodation in a separate adjacent building; our ground floor room was very large with modern bright decor and with a kingsize bed; as well as the usual coffee/tea facilties, a complimentary small decanter of sherry was provided. We had a... More

Just spent 2 nights at the Stackpole Inn. Hosts Gary and Becky, along with their staff, especially Jackie, couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, pleasanty furnished and spotlessly clean. We ate at the Inn both nights and the food was excellent. Stackpole is ideally situated for exploring... More

Stayed here for the weekend in room no4 in the adjoining building, which was clean and nicely decorated with a coastal theme with plenty of space and good access to plug points for gadget recharging (if you need that sort of thing) we ate in the Inn both evenings and the food was great. The inn itself has a really... More

We didn't stay in the inn, but went there for Sunday lunch instead, having been meaning to visit for some time since we visit the area regularly (it's beautiful!!). Expectations were set quite high since it is in the Wales Easting Out Guide book and has lots of positive reviews ... the reality was a bit disappointing however. The staff... More

Really nice accommodation with very friendly and genuinely helpful staff. Nice restaurant with really good food. Two minor comments, could have done with a power shower with less fluctuation in temperature and could have done with more surfaces to put 'stuff' on. Don't let these put you off
