We decided to give our tried and tested haunts around Chepstow a rest and went to the Old Ferry Inn for Sunday lunch for a change. Despite being fairly local, it was our first visit and our first impressions of the place were very positive. The pub is in a great location just under the old Severn Bridge so there... More

I really enjoyed my meal at The Old Ferry Inn. Great homemade pie which was very tasty and my husband had a lovely fish pie. The décor may need updating but the service and food quality were very good indeed!

Visited the Old Ferry Inn for lunch with my elderly mother. Sat in the garden which was very pleasant. Special menu for the over 60's which was good value but I felt that the normal main course was overpriced - I had the liver but the portion was very small and cost £12.60!! - visited on a Thursday lunchtime and... We stayed here on our way into south wales in a camper van. The car park is vast - we even got a space despite the local running club using the pub as a base. Very warm welcome and really good food. If you get the chance ask Sid to cook you breakfast - the sausages were fab !!

My daughter and I stayed here for diving training at the NDAC centre which is ten minutes up the road. A really lovely hotel - rooms basic but clean and beds very comfortable. Stunning views over the Severn Estuary. The hotel is almost directly beneath the old Severn Bridge but is quiet nevertheless. The commodious bath which could accomodate my... More

Only stopped for one night and not in the Inn but in our camper as they allow us to park free for one night within a scheme we have paid into. However, very hospitable hosts, food looked lovely and a good selection. Enjoyed a few glasses of wine overlooking the river through huge picture window in front of a log... More

Just back from a 3 day stay. Very nice room, not all are ensuite so be sure to ask if you want one. We had 2 meals in the restaurant and both were very good, service also good. Views from the restaurant and our room really lovely.

We visited here the first time today after I did a search for dog friendly pubs in the area. On arriving we noticed that a coach party had arrived ahead of us so expected to be kept waiting. We were wrong. The hosts were very attentive and our golden retriever was also welcomed which we thought was really nice. The... More
