I will begin this review by saying that although I found the food to be disappointing they did manage to provide a table for 9 of us with only a days notice. However, I found the lunch menu disappointing. The chips were like normal oven french fries, the steak lacked seasoning and the desserts tasted like they had been reheated... More

Had many a happy stay here when Haydn had it but sadly the new owners don't allow dogs. Shame on a country pub........................................................probably as good as ever if you don't have a dog - not likely to find out

Our third visit (and second stop over) to the Moon since it changed hands, its quite an unique experience, maybe not for everyone, but if you like to engage and be welcomed into a proper pub then you will enjoy. Good choice of drinks and food, we both ate in the evening, massive portion and very tasty. I only wish... More

We had to nights in their outstanding lodgings. The Staff worked hard to give us, and the other customers an experience for life! In the evenings the locals created the atmosphere of a wholesome pub in the welsh countryside.

Went for a drink on friday night - great pint of Hay Valley something or other - so impressed we returned for lunch on Sunday. Apparently it was their first roast of the winter season - just like a home cooked meal only better ... wonderful veg, great potatoes, good roast, reasonable price. Lovely staff too. Wish it was my... More

After months of meaning to head out to the Hunters Moon Inn, we finally made it for a quiet dinner on a Monday night. The pub has a very comfortable feel, and a nice warm fireplace. The barman was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our food was wonderful - will be making a return visit. Beautiful.

We arrived at Hunters Moon without a reservation late in the day, we were totally whacked and just looking for a taxi to Pandy. What an awesome stay we had, cold beer, great service, fun interaction with the owners and the locals. Incredible food and a lovely room all topped off by Mom, Geraldine her husband the chef (who was... More

Stayed in the area here on holiday last week and had a great time. The pub was fantastic. Very friendly staff and very amenable. Struggled with phone reception at our cottage and the pub very kindly let us use the phone. Excellent food, good service. Great pub to take your dog to. We were able to eat our meal in... More

On a group walk from Pandy to climb the Skirrid hill we were 9 miles along our route on a hot, humid day we reached the Hunters inn on Offa's dyke trail. Open all day for both food and real ale it was just what we needed! Well worth a stop.
