Having been bought a weekend walking tour on the three castles path a few years ago, we decided to return this year and choose the hunter's Moon Inn. Which was an inspired choice from the Landlords warm welcome through the well kept beer, the atmosphere of a country local pub, the great local food and the comfortable bed, it was... More

Stumbled across the pub on a Scooter round the local lanes with my dear husband. Called in for a light refreshing drink. Found the owners and the locals warm and friendly. Decided to head home and invited our mother and grandchild to join us for dinner there. Food was fresh and home made and there was plenty of it. Meal... More

I have known about this establishment since I was a child and although it is only 6 miles from where we live, I had never thought to have a meal there. However, our hairdresser gave it a glowing commendation and we decided to give it a go and were thoroughly impressed by both the service and the food. We ate... More

I stayed at the Hunter's Moon Inn for five nights in July 2014. I had wanted to stay there for several years, and I was not disappointed. Llangattock Lingoed is right on the Offa's Dyke Path, and there are other beautiful walks in the area; for example, I walked from the inn to the Skirrid on one day. The inn... More

A lovely 13th century inn with welcoming hosts and lovely food and drink (splendid local lamb and Wye Valley ale). Beautiful location next to ancient village church. Sat in bed and watched a family of blackcaps in the tree at the end of the garden. Hearty breakfast, good packed lunch and luggage transfer to next stop on the walk. Recommend... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were walking Offa's Dyke and arrived after a long day's walking and then took a rest day just reading books and relaxing. Chris and Jimmy are great hosts and made us feel like locals. Food was excellent. Nothing else in the village except an interesting ancient church and graveyard. So, if you are... More

Amazing spot, cracking hospitality, delicious food and gorgeous local wines. We felt like locals within a very short time of walking into the charming pub. We spent the night with the only sound upon waking being birdsong (no traffic noise whatsoever.) After a very tasty breakfast we left feeling extremely relaxed and refreshed. Our stay was everything we had hoped... More

We stayed here on our way to the Hay festival. The Hunters Moon is in a very special quiet and lovely area with some very good walks on the doorstep. The welcome was first rate and the owners were friendly throughout our short stay. The breakfast was very good, we had one full English and one Vegetarian. The vegetarian was... More

Three of us walking the Dyke stayed here last week. Smashing traditional village pub. All of the staff "go the extra mile" to give you good food, good service and importantly good ale. The rooms are lovely. The church is a must see.

After a very long walk along Offas Dyke we arrived tired and hungry. Half Expected it to be closed but instead got the warmest welcome, a proper atmosphere, great food and real ale. And then to top it off a lift back to the local cottage we were renting by the landlord Jim. That is what you call true customer... More
