My first stay here was in 2005. Brian and Deb are so friendly and so kind they add to the wonderful experience of being in the hills of the Welsh countryside. It is so peaceful and quiet and a great place to unwind. My husband was a bit of a talker and joker and he and Brian became fast friends.... More

Amazing stay, the area had great views, and the breakfast was excellent. The family welcomed us very warmly and the house was a nice place to stay. Helped us alot when getting around in Newport and caerleon.

Wonderful stay, very welcoming, beautiful location if you like the Welsh countryside - peace and quiet and clean air. I would have given the Granary 5/5 but we were charged a 30% premium on the website prices with no explanation. Website quite clearly quotes a price per person. When we made the telephone booking we were quoted 10% above the... More

My wife & I came to Newport for a family wedding at the Celtic Manor. We were met by the owner Brian as we drove up to the property with a friendly greeting. As we were running late, nothing was too much trouble & Brian offered to take us to the wedding reception. A gorgeous & tranquil setting with amazing... More

My wife and I were bicycle touring through Wales and had stumbled upon The Granary in our pre-trip planning. While it was a bit challenging to find, Brian bent over backwards in helping with our plans. The inn itself is charming in a great location with great amenities and reasonable prices. We had an excellent breakfast and some nice conversation... More

We loved our stay here. Brian was a perfect host, sharing stories from his travels and making an excellent Welsh breakfast for us. He was as kind as to post me back some items I accidently forgot to pack. The stone house is very unique and the garden in front is perfect for spending sunny mornings. The scenary all around... Last weekend we discovered this little gem of a B & B whilst planning a trip to see friends nearby. There are several units here and we had the Snug for one night and prices are very reasonable for what you get. This is a great rustic B & B and if you want peace and quiet this is the... More

We arrived at the Granary and there was no one to meet and greet - no prior warning that this might be the case. Eventually found a scribbled note with a mobile number which we rang and got a rather unfriendly response. The quality of the décor/furnishings in the our area was shabby to say the least. There was only... More
