Both occasions the food was absolutely brilliant the Sunday lunch I had there was the best I have ever had! the atmosphere is... More

Bev,Andrew and Sarah are excellent hosts and make you so welcome. The food is terrific lots of ales and at this time of year a log fire. Had a flat tire and Andrew changed it in no time. Thanks for all your help.

My husband and I came for Sunday Lunch on 4th October we went to the bar first advised we had booked for lunch but were a little early no issue and the very nice barman took us and our wine through to the restaurant. Our food order was taken quite quickly although they had no knowledge of the food that... More

Arrived at this place , we chose it because it is dog friendly. I would hope other customers appreciated dogs as the owners doge seemed to be everywhere!! Very dirty entrance porch and the bar itself could be cleaner, the toilets were very unpleasant too. The whole place seemed neglected, I am old enough to remember this place as a... More

My Husband and I were just passing by and decided to pop in for a quick drink, We had not been here for a few years, As we waited in the Bar to be served I was gobsmacked (the only word for it) when I saw they had Estrella Galicia on tap, I told my husband, he didn't believe me... More

We visited here for a meal one evening so this review is only in relation to the food and service side of things, we cannot comment on the hotel facilities or experience. As far as the dining experience goes it’s ok if you don’t mind several dogs running around the restaurant while you are eating. The food was just about... More

We stayed overnight to celebrate my wife's birthday. It gave us the opportunity to properly appreciate the fine restaurant and range of real ales. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the room with the four poster, which is very large and plush, with all the luxury touches: bath robes & unguents, coffee maker and antique writing desk. We... More

This old Victorian? pub is sited in lovely grounds in a beautiful part of Monmouthshire. There are great walks nearby. We had not visited for several years and decided to pop in for lunch. We were not disappointed. The welcome was warm and there was a huge choice of Real Ales for us to choose from. The bar has wooden... More

We've stayed here a couple of times now and I've really enjoyed it. It's not luxury but they've put all the finishing touches in the room that a decent hotel has - dressing gowns, toiletries and an abundance of different teas! My only criticism was the bathroom door didn't close - I don't mind the fact it's not brand new... More

My partner and I spent one night in the Clytha Arms on the 27th Dec, 2014. We booked room 3 which is the larger room but well worth paying the extra. The room was clean, tidy and very well presented in traditional style with plenty of space. We booked a table in the restaurant for the evening and enjoyed a... More
