We stayed in the Blue Dunn, total disappointment, why would you overlook the comfort of the mattress- we have never stayed anywhere with such a bad quality mattress, the floor would have been more comfortable. We were very disappointed, we had booked a couple of nights stay but only stayed the one. On our return home we emailed the Bell... More

Location is perfect, close by the castle, the historic church, the river, and overlooking at the back a sheep-dotted hillside and gardens. The room we had booked, at the front, was disappointing, having rather tired furniture apart from the attractive four-poster, and a dismal bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The helpful receptionist, Tara, willingly helped us move to a room... More

We stayed here as a stop on a trip to West Wales and were not disappointed. Our room was very nicely decorated and quiet. The dinner was delicious and based on excellent local produce. The new management team are clearly trying hard and we promised ourselves we will go back if we travel this way again

This place has a lot going for it. Excellent location, lovely rooms and friendly staff. Unfortunately, when we stayed, it was very noisy. They had an evening reception on, and guests spilled out into the garden right under our window, talking and laughing loudly for a couple of hours. Not the peaceful evening we'd been hoping for. Service in the... More

A beautiful hotel in an idyllic location. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with a small baby. The food is excellent and value for money. The rooms are plush and the staff are warm and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed overnight on 3rd September 2014 as we were fishing nearby the next day. Dinner was superb as was the wine! Our room (No 6 Tups Indispensible) was beautiful, very romantic, lovely comfortable bed!! Breakfast was very good. The staff were at all times polite, pleasant and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable stay and... More

From the time we arrived at the Bell Inn in Skenfrith, it was A "Perfect three day Stay", the room we booked was great at the back of the Inn, the view was acres of Welsh Hills with Sheep grazing, squirrels gathering their nuts for the winter and it was so quiet, despite being by a A road. Dinner on... More

I came across The Bell by chance, having stopped off at Skenfrith to visit the castle and church, and called in on a sunny Sunday afternoon for an ice cream, intending to take it away. The atmosphere was so lovely that I ordered coffee as well and sat relaxing on the inviting terrace in the sunshine. Although expensive, the quality... More

I needed somewhere to stay in the area at short notice and was fortunate enough to find The Bell. I have to report that from the moment I stepped foot in the place to the moment I left, the service was impeccable and the standards high. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped... fresh milk for the tea, high... More

After 9 years of regular visits we continue to look forward to returning again and again - everything is just perfect - recent management John & Norrie have introduced subtle changes which we find very welcome whilst retaining the unique atmosphere of The Bell. R. Gill. Stamford.
