Not worth the money. The island is ruined and way overpriced. Although the beaches are pretty, the locals have placed fish traps everywhere which has ruined the fishing and diving. The hotel's quality is average at best, and the food is overpriced.

We just returned from a fabulous 10 day vacation staying at Exuma Palms Hotel. The location is magnificent. Island is beautiful, lots of things to do for everybody from snorkeling, swimming, and frolicking in the water to visiting local restaurants (they are expensive and mostly fried food though). The property needs some work - the steps to the beach are... More

I will start out by saying that I am more of a stalker than author when it comes to writing online reviews but this time felt compelled to share my experience at Exuma Palms. My husband and I are enjoying our last day of nine at this quaint hotel. Like others have recently shared, we have been awed by the... More

We stayed here for 7 nights for our Honeymoon. The island was beautiful but in all the stay at this hotel could have been much better. The Beach: The beach here is truly phenomenal. Almost every time my husband and I ventured down to the beach we were the only ones there. It was like having a private beach all... More

Let me share my experience on my honeymoon with my husband....we came to Exuma palms to stay for 1 week....all the time we could get off work. Ben was not at the hotel, his girlfriend Claire was the only one there. There were no cooks and no food available once we arrived. Claire told us that she put a sign... More

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Exuma Palms Hotel. We were a little nervous going into it as we'd read some recent negative reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The beach was absolutely stunning and the hotel has some of the most beautiful views. Pictures do not do this beach justice, we felt like we had... More

After the disappointment of Chef Ben no longer being there, was an enjoyable vacation. Use this as a convienent base for activities. Five minutes from the airport right on the main road. Beautiful practically Private beach. White soft sand and gentle water. Breakfast is simple but good. Make sure to try one of Theresa' coffees. Best I have ever had... More

Staying at the Exuma Palms was perfect. The hotel was small and the beach and sounds of waves wonderful. I stayed with my boyfriend and I have anxiety with large dogs. Rovella was perfect. She was not obtrusive at all! I actually liked her on the first day. We did not get a lot of one-on-one attention, but the entire... More

We planned for one night at Exuma Palms Hotel, on our way from Haiti back to the US. The place was clean, but showing the effects of age and hurricanes. The supper was delicious, but the lady in the office and restaurant, though competent, was mainly uncommunicative. She did not welcome us when we walked in. I asked to register,... More

Dislaimer: Our experience probably would have been different, had Ben been gone by then. We originally picked Exuma Palms because their rates seemed to be budget friendly, and after speaking to the then-proprietor (Ben), we decided to book. The rates online are outdated, but we were given the less-expensive, advertised price online. Furthermore, we were originally looking for a no-frills,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a new hotel on Exuma, in the midst of a transition, striving to bring you casual but fine dining, ensuring you have fun, minimizing your impact on the environment and maybe teaching you something along the way. Our on-site marine biologist Nicole will be happy to assist you in your personal discovery of the local flora and fauna. She has also implemented many environmental reforms guiding the resort to a more sustainable and harmonious place without hindering quality nor comfort. Because her passion lies with the ocean, Nicole is very knowledgeable about the marine environment and is willing to help you organize excursions. You can experience the world famous swimming pigs, James Bond's Thunderball Grotto, the world's oldest marine conservation park or discover the life beneath the turquoise, clear water. We want you to have a nice, relaxing holiday, enjoying local customs and activities, but ultimately coming back to the comfort of your ocean view room with private balcony. Here you can enjoy coffee in the morning or Caribbean cocktails as the sun sets. We would love to share our passions and values with you, in a way that will only enhance your vacation, leaving your footprints in the pristine white sand, and not on the environment. We are not a chain hotel, therefore we offer the ultimate personalized experience for every guest, including young adventurers. We look forward to sharing our piece of paradise with you, and your visit. ... more   less
