We snorkeled on the third largest reef in the world and it's just in front of the Emerald Palms Hotel! The sea kayaks available at the hotel will get you out to the reef. Pack a length of rope; you'll want to make and anchor so you can snorkle as long as you like without your kayak floating away. We... more

Greetings!! My wife and I stayed 7 nights at Emerald Palms in June 2009. To start with, avoid Lynx Air into Congo Town - they are a traveller's nightmare. South Andros is fairly REMOTE. Don't expect to run down to the 7/11 for something. As stated before, stop by Beverage Depot or Midway and pick up any libations you might... more

My fiance and I spent 8 wonderful days at Emerald Palms. We went there for several reasons: to be on the beautiful Caribbean, to relax, to have a romantic getaway and to fly fish in South Andros. We joke that it was better than our yet to be planned honeymoon. When we got there, Alexia, a incredibly friendly and helpful... more

I stayed at Emerald Palms while visiting Andros for the first time. I came to the island by myself to view beach front property for possible purchase. The owners and staff at Emerald Palms made me feel at home with their warm hospitality and they gave me a lot of great information about the island. I will definitely be back... more

Found this hotel because of a "girl's weekend get-away"! What a prefect place for beach, sun and relaxation! The rooms were clean and bright; the people were friendly and helpful! A fabulous hide-out from the Big City!!! I would be a great place to bring a huge group and hang out!!! more

My wife and I decided to get married at Emerald Palms after several visits. The first thing that attracted us to the place was the location and the quality of the rooms. At the end of our wedding of which we had invited 50 guests (they let us have the hotel exclusively) we can quite honestly say that the warmness... more

We had a fantastic vacation. We rarely go back twice to the same place because we enjoy discovering new places, but Emerald Palm is a place we would go back to. The resort is lovely with a pool right beside the ocean; you could walk along the beach all to yourself and gather seashells, as we did with our 5... more

We just spent one week (last week of March) at the emerald palms in South Andros. Overall we would highly recommend it, with a couple of caveats. Apparently the property has been a resort from the mid 1960s originally called Los Palmos. According to Ezrina, proprietor of the only restaurant in Driggs Hill (10 minutes away bicycle or 5 minutes... more

We have just returned from South Andros, Bahamas after spending a week at a truly hidden gem called Emerald Palms Resort. We were looking for a quick getaway and are so glad that we located this hideaway. Travelling from Ontario, Canada is so easy with the airlines flying directly to Nassau. Connecting flight to South Andros on Western Air is... more

My wife and I have just returned from a weeks stay at a wonderful hotel on South Andros Island in the Bahamas. Emerald Palms is a small "boutique" hotel with 18 rooms and 22 villas set in a tropical paradise of approximately 10 acres, and situated on a beautiful white sand beach that stetches as far as the eye can... more
