My recommendation is to go somewhere else; there are lots better for the same money. Overall, it was great to get away, but “I would never go back”. They start by asking you before you go what your preferences are. I asked for conch ceviche and local lobster or whole fish and no salt. They replied, "The lobster is not... more

This was my second trip to the magical island Kamalame Cay and I can honestly say the Island gets better and better. The staff go out of thier way to make this feel like your home with friendly and personal. The island is owned by a wonderfully warm family, The Hews who take the time to get to know each... more

We arrived at our original hotel and realized it was not the place for us. We emailed Margaret and Delilah at Kamalame Cay asking if they had room for us. They were extremely responsive and helpful in sending driving directions to their location. When we arrived they promptly sent the ferry over to pick us up and Denise was so... more

This was our second year at Kamalame and we loved it again. We have 3 small children and they had a lovely time as well. The beach is great-a long flat makes for a safe swim spot for even the smallest swimmers. They collected sand dollars and shells all day. The pool is very nice and has a heater now... more

Cheers to the staff and management at Kamaleme Cay! They have transformed a small cay in the Bahamas into a place where heaven and earth meet in perfect harmony. Imagine waking up every morning to the sound of the wind in the palms and the surf softly massaging the shore. Imagine the smells of buttery croissants and warm coffee delivered... more

We were welcomed with open arms at Kamalame Cay on Feb. 9th thru Feb. 16th 2008. It is the most amazing place we have ever been on vacation. The food was fabulous and presented in a way that would make the best chef's of the world envious. The rooms were perfect in every way. We were married on Feb. 14th... more

This is the ultimate vacation spot. Gorgeous location, amazing accomodations, friendly staff, great activities, beautiful spa. You have no choice but to relax. Kamalame was recommended to me by a good friend who is incapable of relaxing. When I heard that she actually turned off her phone and didn't turn it back on until her plane touched down in LA,... more

I first visited Kamalame several years ago, per the recommendation of some friends. They had their honeymoon there, and insisted it was the ultimate vacation. And wow, they were right. Since then, we have been back 9 times, and each trip proves better than the next. Not only does the hotel offer the best in amenities and experiences, but the... more

We finally figure out how to pronouce it. "ka maul a me". Named after a Bahamian tree. First off, if you are looking for a resort with a swim up bar, the blender working 10 hour days, and plenty of people watching, stop reading! Go somewhere else! This place is not for you! My husband did a lot of searching... more

My wife and I spent five days at Kamalame Cay to celebrate our tenth anniversary at the beginning of June. I was searching for a unique experience in a resort (lots of privacy, great scenery, excellent food and luxurious accommodations were my top four items of interest) and quickly ruled out many of the larger hotels. After much searching and... more
