My husband and I arrived to Hope Town Harbour Lodge (HTHL) on Saturday, Sept 9 around 2:30 pm following a two flights, a taxi and ferry ride. We had the ferry call ahead so that someone was waiting for us to pick up our luggage and take them to our room. We arrived right on the ferry dock near HTHL,... more

For a first trip to the Abacos, Hopetown Harbour Lodge was perfect. Several of the smaller cays are accessible from Elbow Cay by boat (Guana Cay, Fowl Cay, Lubbers Landing, Tilloo Cay, Man-O-War Cay, parts of Great Abaco), and the lodge offers (easy) dock access. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Hopetown, and has both... more

My wife and I decided we needed to take a "real" vacation (not business, not with family, etc.) for the first time since our honeymoon - especially since we were expecting our first child in six months. Neither of us had ever been to the Bahamas, and honestly, my view of it was shaped by cruise ships, casinos, all-inclusives, and... more

Hope Town Harbour Lodge was one of the best places my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of staying. We stayed for 7 days in the Mango cottage on the beach. Opening up our doors in the morning and watching the sunrise and listening to the breakers on the beach that was about 100 feet away from our... more

We just returned from the best vacation of all time! My best friends is planning her wedding so we hit the islands for a quick final scope out. And now I also know where when I get married I plan on getting married here! At first, when I was told where we were staying and she was having her reception...... more

We thought this was a nice little place..Not a 5 Star property. True Bahamian look..Clean room, comfy beds, over-priced in every way.. Beautiful waters and boating..can dock your boat right at the hotel.. more

Hope Town is not a vacation spot for anyone looking for a party or night-life scene. It is a beautiful, quiet, romantic (if you're so inclined) get-away spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Bahama Islands. The Hope Town Harbour Lodge has several accomodation options; rooms in the main lodge, poolside cabanas, ocean view cottages, and ocean front... more

This is a beautiful lodge, right on the water. We had a really nice room for three with gorgeous views of the water and two balconys. It was very clean and well cared for. The hotel's restaurant has very good food and you can easily eat in town if you prefer. The feeling was casual and classy at the same... more

We spent three terrific nights at the lodge, two in an oceanfront cabana and one in an ocean-view room. The cabana was perfect--lots of space (double sinks, mini-fridge) and a nice big deck overlooking the ocean and the quiet beach. Just a stone's throw from the beach bar and the pool, too. Their off-season prices can't be beat, and it's... more

Just returned from 8 nights at the Hope Town Harbour Lodge and never wanted to leave. We have stayed in many places in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida, and this place ranks right up there with the best. It's not fancy or large, but it's completely charming, clean and so relaxing. We had a great view of the ocean from... more
