The Island Seas Resort is a beautiful, family friendly resort, however, when "ocean front" accomodations are requested (and paid for) it is Very disappointing to be put across the street from the beach with another building between you and the beach. Apparently the ocean front buildings are reserved for the timeshare owners, however many units were empty , also we... More

The good: nice furnishings (2 tv's, full kitchenware), private beach, friendly staff. The bad: poor location, biting bedbugs, non-functional dishwasher, expensive prices. I just read a recent review that stated that the staff offered free trips to the grocery store and free transportation to Port Lucaya. This is only for members! It's around $8 per couple to take the 1... More

I agree with the person who said this should be a 3 star resort! We were told we would have an oceanview room but we were put across the street and it was NOT oceanview! It is also obnoxious that they are trying to sell a time share. The restaurant on site is bar food at best and too pricey... More

Just returned last night from our vacation. We were given an oceanfront unit, although we booked through hotels. I am a female with a 10 year old boy and thirteen year old girl. It rained about half the time we were there, but we still had a great time. We rented a car, but probably would not do so again--really... More

Just want to say that we spent February 10th thru the 13th at Island Seas. We were very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit. We chose not to cook in our unit, but certainly could have. (Our kitchen had coffee filters, sugar, fake sugar and creamer, and coffee.)The staff even... More

I had done some research and knew we were taking a chancce on Jan. here but decided to try it anyway - weather was wonderful -70's - usually sunny - not hot enough to go swimming - but being from NY -would have gone in cold if need be. Definitely nice enough to get a tan. We LOVED the service... More

We just returned from a week at the Island Seas and wanted to share my comments with others. First, having traveled a lot, I should note that I'm always more favorably impressed with any hotel, resort, timeshare when the weather is good. You tend to overlook some of the negative aspects of a place when it's warm and sunny. Unfortunately... More

Whoever gave this resort a 5 star review obviously didn't stay there. It should 3 stars. It started out well. The reservations were set; the room and view were beautiful; they gave us extra towels. The pool looked nice, but don't expect to go swimming in the winter because they don't heat it. There's a restaurant called Coconuts on-site, but... More

My wife and I visited Island Seas for our honeymoon in September 2003. I'm surprised at the negative comments. Despite some bad weather, our stay was incredible. The people were friendly, shuttles were always available and the resort is beautiful. Eventually, we will go back to Island Seas. I was very impressed with the resort and island. I recommend horse... Our family spent Christmas at Island Seas. Not entirely bad, but we won't go back: Like several others posted here, we were promised an ocean-view room, then told we were out of luck at check-in time. We met others at the hotel with the same story -- the ocean front rooms, the desk clerks told us, were reserved for time-share... More
