My boyfriend and I stayed at the Flamingo Bay Hotel & Marina for Valentine's Day weekend. The hotel was very basic. Check in was smooth and quick. An employee named "Big Mama" in the lobby tried to have a us schedule a tour of their sister property, the Taino Beach Resort. We declined and she was understanding, not high presssure... More

We stayed here since our normal haunt, Our Lucayan, was booked up. What a mistake. We had two rooms on the first floor front. The noise from out front was incredible. And since upstairs was tiled and uninsulated it sounded like our neighbors were up all night re-arranging the furniture. We could hear every cough, burp, fart from every room... More

It's cheaper than the other hotels, and it's not as nice as some because of that, but it's really not that bad. The staff was much nicer than Taino (where my husband and I stayed), but they are sister resorts, and at night, the staff from Taino go over to Flamingo and hang out in the lobby. There's a lady... I stayed in the Flamingo Bay Hotel over New Years with a couple girlfriends who are all experienced travelers. We chose this hotel since we're on a budget, but we all realized that paying a little bit extra to stay in the Taino Resort across the street or another hotel in Lucaya would have been well worth it. Our toilet... More

I knew it was a bit on the budget side but the grounds make up for a lot. As part of a bigger resort property you get to totally enjoy the world class pool and a really nice beach. They also have events and other extras (tennis, ping pong, etc). Slight down side to the hotel, a few items didn't... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and it definitely had its ups and downs. The location of the hotel is great. It is right on the canal with the beach and pool not too far away. There is a restaurant and two bars within walking distance. There are also lots of activities offered, but you... More

The prices are unbelievable. Each room is super clean, very large and has a mini kitchenette. The beach is at 2 minutes walking distance. The gigantic pool is one of the nicest in all the Caribbean with a big water slide and a built-in grotto for the bar where customers sit in the water to be served their drinks. For... More

Pros- Friednly staff Clean towels and plenty of toilet paper Cheap price Beautiful beach Nice pool w/water slide Cons- Fridge stopped working in the middle of our stay. I saw a roach on the last day by the door. House keeping never actually cleaned the rooms. Small blood stain on the top comforter. The lady taking the money at the... More

It's a nice hotel, maintenance needs to be done in certain aspects pertaining to the lighting on the property and to their laundry facilities. Security on property is very friendly an so is the rest of the staff.

Nothing spectacular about the rooms. They are clean, they say they have a kitchenette in them but what that means in the Bahamas is that they have a microwave, a fridge, a sink and a toaster. So we ended up eating out everyday. The front desk people and the women in the shop there were very nice and helpful in... More
