My brief stay at the Royal Islander Resort was event filled to say the least, I Arrived late evening after dinner with friends to find a dark lobby with a solitary security guard who initially refused to open the locked hotel door. (High Crime Area) After I explain to the guard that I had a reservation he reluctantly opened the... More

Dear Guest, We sincerely apologize for your displeasure with the Royal Islander Hotel. When you booked, your booking company clearly states that our front desk closes at 11:00p.m. You arrived at the hotel around 2:30a.m. and security did allow you to stay in a room. Our front desk honored your booking rate, however you were unhappy with the fact that... More

Really friendly and helpful staff. Maybe a bit outdated furniture in the rooms, but if you do it right you should only sleep in your room. Always a lot to do in Port Lucaya and in town center, the staff is always willing and able to tell you where you should hang out for a nice night out.

Upon staying at the royal islander the 1st time the experience, was novel. But upon multiple trips there, the minor missteps became to much to overlook. Sometimes the bath towels were very hard. The hot water for showers was barely luke warm and upon one stay the AC was unable to be adjusted , so it was either FREEZE or... More

First. let me say this is not on the beach. You will need to take a taxi or bus to get to the beaches or Port Lucuaya. It is attractive, clean, and quite. They have free Wi-Fi and a nice restaurant. The restaurant is open for breakfast and has a $4.95 special that can't be beat. It is not open... More

We stayed for three nights. This Hotel.....and I use the term VERY LOOSELY.... was OLD, OUTDATED, IN MUCH NEEDED UPDATED EVERYTHING. First thing we noticed when we got into our room, it was musty. Smelled like the carpet was wet and dried by it self. We turned on the AC to get some of the smell out. WRONG THING TO... More

I did not enjoy my stay here. The rooms were old and dated. Rust could be seen on the bathroom fixtures. You barely see anyone at the front desk. The towels were so hard, it feels like a grater cutting into your skin. If you want somewhere to stay without the frills, I guess this will do but I'm sure... More

I stayed here a couple of days for business. The room is very basic. There was cable tv and Miami news. There was a mini frig. The room I had was on the ground floor right on the pool deck. As I expected there were bugs in the room, ants mostly. Two of the lights didn't work. The one in... More

The hotel was clean and decent. However all of the furnishings were dated the bathroom needs an upgrade and the bedding left much to be desired however the breakfast was very good and inexpensively priced there is a convenience store within walking distance and also is Cinema near by good hotel if you're just in town for a few days... Accommodation 3*** - Rooms are clean and have a fridge inside. Bathroom is a little bit dated. Pool, Restaurant, Location 3*** - The pool is okay so is the restaurant. The hotel is on the road to Lucaya and you will need a cab or your own wheels to get to the beach. Would recommend this hotel only as an... More
