Too much was bad to re-type but I basically had booked this through the timeshare RCI which my grandmother had. I sent her an email listing all the bad things. I am just going to copy and paste all of this right here. This is the email my grandmother sent to RCI: This is the first time I have had... more

My family planned a trip through RCI to Xanadu for spring break this year (2008). As our vacation approached I began to research activities for the group and was horrified by articles I read on this site about the bad conditions of the resort. Alarmed I called and talked with the RCI (timeshare) reps at the resort and was satisfied... more

Thank goodness the positive reviews were accurate and true. I guess it pays to use common sense and go with the odds. The place was gorgeous. The lobby area was all done up in mahogany and marble. Big aquariums lined the back of the check-in desk. Reminds me of the Treasure Island check-in desk in Las Vegas. They had trees... more

I booked my birthday and husbands birthday from a time share swap! The resort was hit by a hurricane 4 years ago and it looks like it was yesterday! the tennis courts have no nets or fences therefore unplayable! The rooms were okay but definately need modernizing. The gym was completley in shambles, nothing worked. When I asked they said... more

The whole experience was terrific. You realize you picked the right place the second you drive up to the hotel. The beachfront location is great. The hotel rooms were very nice. Everything you would need is around the resort area. We are into water sports and clubing. During the day we hit the jet skis and parasailing. We rented a... more

This place turned out to be a dream come true. It was one of the most enjoyable vacation experiences me and my friends have had in years. The location must be seen, it's hard to describe how beautiful this beach hotel is. The water, sand, and overall layout of the area is great. The rooms were very nice and roomy... more

The plane ride took us forever but it was well worth it. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. Has its own private beach area. Everything was very pretty. The garden area looked like it took much grooming to maintain everyday...very sculpted and gorgeous. The whole resort area is laid out very nicely. I've never seen a nicer beach... more

The hotel was great, the beach area was incredible. Very close to the fun stuff like dance clubs, casino, and shopping. We were here for just a couple of days June 1 and 2, 2008 but loved it. The hotel was nice, the inside was very well decorated and all the furniture in the rooms looked new. I love island... more

This was a great hotel. The locaton was perfection. Beautiful beach area, gorgeous water. The hotel had just had a multi-million dollar makeover and is gorgeous. The inside of the lobby areas look like a vegas hotel with the big fish tanks behind the check-in desk and trees and plants everywhere. Feels like your in the jungle or something...really cool.... more

Just returned from a 4 day stay at the Xanadu Beach Resort. The resort is still under construction from the hurricane they had 2 years ago. We had a stuio unit that was very roomy. It had a small kitchen, dining table, couch/bed, and king bed. During my stay I never saw anyone at the pool. A small crowd of... more
