This is being written from our alternate accommodations - the Westin at Lucaya. We checked in yesterday as part of an RCI exchange. Quiet hotel that offers a clean and comfortable place to sleep at night with easy access to a beautiful and equally as quiet beach. Rooms are dated and could use some maintenance but clean. The hotel was wonderful. Incredible location. The beach will blow you away. Clean white sand. Shallow green and blue tropical water that seems to only come up to your waist no matter how far you wade out. They had the straw hut bar on the beach with a very friendly bartender. Negative reviewers must have written under the wrong hotel because this place was AWESOME! We walked to everything, we never took one cab ride anywhere. Restaurants were all around the hotel. The party scene at night was on the beach and at the clubs. You can walk out to the hotel entrance sign, take a left, and walk one block.... more
