We were greeted by Eleanor who was absolutely professional, courteous and extremely pleasant to deal with. The location is very serene and relaxed. Accommodations were on point and the staff was excellent . Would definitely return. We originally planed to stay for 2 days and ended up staying for one week.

I had a great trip The hotel was what I expected close to everything. Would go back and stay again. It was clean but could use some touch ups with the paint and furniture. I was disappointed in NO free wifi and you had to pay for all local calls. Could not even call my friends at another hotel they... More

We reserved a stateroom suite, the largest room, which was a mistake. I looked at four of them and they were all dark, dank, run down and musty smelling. Very depressing. We finally downgraded to a regular double room which was very nice and bright. The bedroom of the suite has basically no windows, a terrible design. The property is... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pelican Bay (2 adults, 2 children ages 11 & 13). It was perfect for us because we had a suite that gave us a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, plates that we used every day, a large enough size that we didn't feel like we were tripping over each other, the resort is... The hotel is a beautiful complex, well maintained on the outside. The rooms are not great, but ok for a beach vacation. We had to change room twice: the first time because it was a ground level room, which among others smelled very strongly of mold. The second was on the third floor, and room was ok, but the people... Wife and mine's 1st trip back to the Bahamas in 20 years. I "splurged" for the suite at Pelican Bay and was not disappointed. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was great. I put "splurged" in quotes because the upgrade was low cost.

Overall, we were disappointed in this property and wish we would have booked the Grand Lucayan. The Bad: We stayed in a regular room (not a suite) and it was best described as TIRED. Floors were VERY DIRTY. Bathroom was dirty. The bottoms of the bed skirt and curtains were dirty. What the floor needed was a good grout cleaning... More

Let me start by thanking Cleolissa and all the front desk staff- I'm sorry I didn't note all their names. Each and every one of them went out of their way to make our stay everything we wished for. Most of the hotel staff continued this same friendly, efficient service, but the housekeeping and breakfast buffet staff were not as... More

Stayed at the Pelican Bay at Lucaya in March 2015. The trip was booked through Sunwing and included return flight, hotel accommodation, breakfast and transfers to and from the airport. Check-in: We arrived at the hotel at approximately 10:30am. It was fast, efficient, courteous. Within minutes, we received room keys, towel cards and (free) cards for the Taino Beach water... More

From moment we checked in, relaxation began. We upgraded to a suit, worth every penny. Waking up to fresh pastries and fruit. And drinking a cappuccino on the balcony, and reading the resort paper. Going for breakfast in the canal house, awesome! Pools were very clean, nice pool furniture. Unwinding either at Bonz Bar, for a evening cocktail, or for a... More
