Just got back from 9 days, 8 night vacation. This was our second trip to Atlantis and it was fantastic. The Reef is great. The one think I really want to caution folks on is to check their bill regularly. We did it based on some comments here and we found overcharges all the time. It seems that with the... More

Stayed 12-16 Aug. After reading some posts I was worried about the staff being rude. I thought the staff was great--very friendly! The reef was great. I stayed at Beach towers years ago but will stay at Reef if I go again. I suggest bringing granola bars, etc... when you go for snacks. We ate at Bimimi Resturant at the... More

The Reef is one of the smarter newer properties within the Atlantis resort. It's a condominium hotel and is an all suite property. We had two adjoining studio suites which worked perfectly for our group. The suites are nicely furnished and the bathrooms are really spacious with a bathtub, seperate shower stall and two sinks. The suites also have kitchenettes... More

I read lots of reviews before booking this trip to the Cove Atlantis Aug 2010 for my husband, my 9 year old daughter, and me. I'd stress the following: 1. the Reef and Cove are more "exclusive" hotels slightly apart from the waterpark & Royal Towers Hotel. If you are on the fcasual oodplan and/or with younger (tween and younger)... More

We just returned from a trip to Atlantis last week and it was wonderful. We have two boys, ages 9 and 12. I am so glad we booked the Reef--the room was perfect for our family of four. It is a little further away from the water slides and some of the action but that was OK with us--we did... More

I stayed at the Royal Towers on my first visit and swore I'd never come back. Hated it would be an understement. The boss, my wife, really wanted to come back as we have 3 children (under 5) and she thought they would enjoy it. They did. My in laws joined us as well and they enjoyed as well if... More

After many years of dreaming of going to Atlantis, we (my husband and I and our two sons, ages 17 and 19) finally went. We ended up getting a decent deal, so it was more affordable - though still extremely expensive. The closest thing I can compare it to is staying at a Disney Resort. It's just part of the... More

This is our first visit to “The Reef”, making this our third trip to the Atlantis resort, twice before at the Royal Tower – Imperial Club. After looking at the reviews, photos [and other information] I put in a request for a Studio “Island” [front] side of the building, island corner, as high a floor as possible. We were given... More

On the 9th September 2008, the Atlantis Hotel, Dubai announced they had caught a young female whale shark off the coast of Jebel Ali that was "supposedly" struggling in shallow water. The plan was they said to keep the whale shark in the aquarium for "medical care and observation" and would release her. Now OVER TEN MONTHS MONTHS LATER!!!!! Sammy,... More

We've stayed at the Royal Towers three times before, but the Reef has it beat hands down with Teenagers goofing with us. It was our daughters 18th birthday and she had friends with her. We had a two bedroom suite that allowed us privacy (bedrooms split) but also allowed us to know when the girls got in their room which... More
