Background: I recently stayed at The Reef Hotel with my wife and 10 month old daughter for six nights in late May. We’ve been to Nassau twice before, this was our first visit/stay at the Atlantis property. Arrival: Arriving at the airport in Nassau (NAS) was a bit chaotic. When we went to baggage claim, our particular flight was not... More

We just got back from a 4 night stay at The Reef Atlantis. We got upgraded to a higher floor on arrival and the whole check-in process was so simple. All of the staff are great. There are always smiles from all the staff at the resort. The room itself was very stylish and in good shape. We didn't love... More

So we (2 ppl, late 20's) went the second week of May for 5 nights because we found a great deal via travelocity that included discounted airfare and experience pass with free drinks, golf, dolphins, etc. during this time period. (Note: From all of my searching, it seems its always significantly cheaper to get there on a monday or any... More

We just returned last week from a family vacation at The Reef. Fortunately, it was right after Easter vacation and my husband and I stayed there for 6 nights with our son, his wife and our 3 granddaughters (ages 6, 4 and 9 months). Our rooms were very lovely and the beds were very comfortable but this is not a... More

This was my 3rd stay at Atlantis and first at the Reef. Great room with great facilities and wonderful view over the pool and beach. Added value for families is that they have a laundry on the 2nd floor, all you need to buy is your detergent. The waterpark is just as good as last time and if you want... More

My family and I stayed at this resort in april 2012. This resort is really beautiful. It was a very relaxing vacation. The resort has the perfect amenities for all to enjoy. If you want to see how beautiful the resort is, check out this family vacation video I found on you tube, on jimmayzworld. Atlantis Paradise Island.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pros certainly out weighed the cons. Pros: Beautiful place, beach, pool (was private for just Reef) Loved the room, it was clean, big, nice tub, comfortable bed, great balcony Friendly staff within The Reef (overall, the employees of Atlantis were apathetic elsewhere) Cons: Most things on property are extra $ except slides and aquarium... The Reef (and the Cove) are the properties to stay at on Atlantis. They have their own pool which means when the cruise ships come in and Atlantis sells day passes, you can enjoy your own pool and private beach with just other Reef and Cove guests. That may sound snobby, but when you pay the high price to stay... More

Make no mistake, Atlantis is really beautiful and a wonderful fun place for families. But, if traveling with children, really think about it, you are in a different country. We had options recommended by our resort, of transportation from airport to hotel (30 minute drive), assured that the shuttle service was safe and secure way of travel...we selected Dan Knowles... We stayed in a one bed ocean suite at the Reef with our 10 month old child for a week. We booked the holiday last minute and mainly because we wanted to visit the Bahamas and there were kitchen facilities and a washer/ dryer in the rooms which made it easier with our baby to travel. We booked a limo... More
