Our family (2 adults and 2 children -8 &4) stayed at the Riu from July 5-July 12 for the wedding of a family member held at the resort. In total, we were a group of 20 people. We had read the reviews on this hotel, so we knew what we could expect. We had no problems at the front desk... more

Clean rooms! Deco is a bit outdated but I didn't mind it much. Great service by front desk, waiters and maids. My only complaint is with the bartenders. They were not friendly at all! If you do not tip them, they will practically ignore you. Breakfast and lunch was good but the same everyday. I was disappointed that there is... more

8 girls traveled to Riu Paradise Island for a friend's Bachelorette party, to celebrate and have girls bonding time. We arrived at the Riu Paradise Island on Thursday and had a smooth and seamless check in. We were all located on the third floor, and our room ended up having a not-so-great view (although they told us it was ocean... more

okay, hotel needs a major overhaul. Beds and pillows are hard as rocks, room is clean but needs upgrading, mini bar is non existant without money on top of it. Service at front desk is good but bar service is terrible. Only two bars and pool one closes at 5:00 pm, no beach bar. If you don't bring your one... more

We went to the Riu from June 22-June 28th and just got back yesterday. We already wish we were back. If you go there and are looking for a limo transfer from the airport, I HIGHLY recommend Rich and Famous Limo. You can find their number by doing a search. The total cost of the limo was $240 round trip... more

My husband and I chickened out of our intended destination, Iberostar Riviera Maya, Mexico after the Swine Flu outbreak and were rerouted to the RIU Paradise Island by our travel agent who really did her best to get us anywhere but Mexico at the last minute. She strongly urged us to reconsider, but we have an 18-month old and felt... more

This was our first trip to the Bahamas, so we were very excited. Upon checking into the hotel we noticed that the service at the front desk was less than friendly. When it was our turn to check in we were not greeted in the manner in which we were use to. No "Good afternoon, how may I help you."... more

My husband and I booked a trip to stay at the RIU Paradise Island this June. We arrived at the Riu at midnight after a long day of traveling and were incredibly unhappy with what we found. The room was dirty, stained and basically falling apart. The pictures on the website show shiny, new, pristine rooms and that is NOT... more

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in April and had a great time. It is all inclusive and with the location being next to the Atlantis, it was a great value. We probably saved $800-1000 by virtue of not having to pay for meals in the very expensive area of Paradise Island. The rooms all have a... more

This is a great place to stay! My girlfirend and I stayed June 9-14th, after a horrid 3 days at Breezes in Cable beach (stay far far away from that place)!!! The staff for the most part were LOVELY. The lobby was very cool. Lots of dark wood and chandliers. The food was decent....For an all inclusive the food is... more
