My week on Paradise Island was just that--paradise! The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are satisfactory. *TIP* GET AN ODD NUMBER ROOM FOR A VIEW!!! All you do is wait in lines. They do not have enough open bars for the amount of guest. The lobby bar closes way to early and the pool bar closes at 6 pm. You have to stand in line to sign up for dinner, this will take a good hour daily. The managers could learn a lot by booking... more

Second business visit to the RIU. It was a 3 days visit from which 2 days were spent on business meetings. The hotel is a bit run down, I would rate it a 3.5*. Food does not have verity... The RIU Paradise Island, Bahamas has a lot going for it. The location next to Atlantis (literally next door to get into the Atlantis complex, but a 10 to 15 minute walk to the casino and the Starbucks in the Marina shops complex) is a biggie; the goregous, clean beach; all rooms looking out on an angle at the ocean... more
