We visit the Compass Point restaurant 2-3 times every trip to Nassau. They have fresh seafood on display where you can pick your catch of the day or order off the menu. Great starters, cold beer and a million dollar view. We brought Chef Winfield our catch from the morning charter, black fin tuna and mahi mahi. He prepared an... More

Nassau is an interesting island: it serves as both a resting place for off-shore accounts and a playground for mostly well-to-do vacationers. Since it's in the Caribbean, it's also populated by large, corporate resorts with an all-inclusive experience and high walls. That's why a place like Compass Point is an excellent find. Founded by Chris Blackwell of Island Records in... More

This was our first trip to Nassau in the Bahamas. We were there to scuba dive with Stuart Cove, a world renowned shark expert. Compass Point Resort was suggested as a great place to stay in Nassau so we looked up the resort website and were impressed by the colorful waterfront cottages and relaxed atmosphere portrayed. When we arrived at... More

Okay, we didn't actually stay at this hotel, so I can't comment on the accommodations other than to say that they are adorable, but we purchased day passes and spent about six fantastic hours here during our Nassau layover en route to Great Exuma. A short taxi ride from the airport, Compass Point was exactly what our family of four... More

I really wanted to love this hotel, but unfortunately, there are a few things that just make it average. Upon check-in, the receptionist very honestly told us, "Oh, this is my least favorite room on the property...but maybe we can move you tomorrow." Ummm...great? We could see why since it was right on the busy road with extremely loud traffic.... More

Beware of the "new" compass point. Inflexible, lots of rules now, care just about three night stays, god help you if you are ill or late , your money gone. Period. See my big lum review here on TA. . Been going here for over 15 years. Was a gem, really fun and a good place to visit regardless of... More

My husband and I got married at Compass Point Beach Resort this July. It was truly an incredible experience! We first visited CP last year and I knew this was where I wanted to get married. It is romantic and intimate without feeling stuffy. We had about 7 huts booked of friends and family, and the staff took care of... More

Compass Point provided me with my first meal in the Bahamas. It did not disappoint! I recommend the crack conch. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would certainly have stayed here the following week upon my return trip to Nassau but the rooms were sold out!

We come here every year to have some peaceful time away. We rent a car so we can also explore other parts of the island without staying in the busy parts of Nassau. The huts are open air, which we found great when staying during the Fall and listening to the ocean waves. We love the elevated ocean front huts... More

After researching various resorts on New Providence Island and in Nassau, we settled on Compass Point, in a quiet area west of the "Las Vegas Strip". We were not disappointed! We stayed in an Elevated Sea Front Hut for four nights. We arrived in tropical storm weather, & had to keep our shutters closed the first night! 😳 Hubby &... More
