We stayed at the Melia July 18th to the 22nd. It was our anniversary. We used Bookit.com and also bought the transfers and were so glad we did. Transfers were awesome! Great people picked us up in a new commercial transfer Van both directions. Everyone drives on the left side of the road. While you can rent a vehicle, we... More

The lady Ms Kendalee has horrible service. She behaved as though she did not want to be there and as though she was doing me a favor by accepting my payment. The service in the pool area was ridiculous also. The attendees kept harassing me because my 4 year old was not wearing a band when the front desk said... More

I read the reviews of other guests and was a little bit nervous about my approching stay at the Melia. I had a great time and experience at the Melia. Check-in was slow but not as slow as I anticipated. We didn't have towels in our room but did receive them before we needed to use them. I carried my... More

Myself, girlfriend and 4 of our good friends (two couples) stayed at the Melia Aug. 10-15. Let me start by saying, if you are expecting white glove service and a 5 star resort...you will be disappointed. The Melia is currently being transformed from its previous hotel (A Sheraton I believe) so there is a lot of work going on. With... More

I would not stay here again. Rooms needs a lot of updating and it is very boring in the evenings. Nothing going on at this hotel. The staff was nice. Food price is high and some flies during breakfast time.

We recently spent 4 nights at the Melia. Although the property is being converted from a Sheraton and is undergoing extensive renovations we ran into several problems which had nothing to do with construction. The line for checkin was very, very slow. This remed to be a daily occurrence. Although we arrived after 3 most of the rooms hadn't been... More

If you are like me, the first impression you have about a place or people tends to colour every subsequent experiences or interactions you will have with these people or places. This applies to hotels as well. Last year, we travelled to the Bahamas for the first time and fell in love with its beautiful beaches and the very friendly... More

My first trip to Bahamas was great overall. Melia is okay with great attitude from the staff. There were a few problems such as my room key not working and room not getting cleaned since being out of the room for 8 hours with "clean room" sign on doorknob. Food for 2 overpriced. $50 for breakfast, $60 for lunch and... More

The hotel has a few things that can be annoying, like long line ups to check in but one VERY annoying thing before I go on is that check out is 11 or 12 and sometimes one's flight is late at night and they provide NO SHOWERS!!! Now I have traveled quite extensively throughout the world and I am no... More
