we visited Nassau four times in the mid 80's and decided to revisit. we last stayed at the cable beach casino and resort which became the Sheraton and now melia. a lot has changed since. the casino is now 1/5th the size with a handful of table games but unattended and empty. mostly slots. although it seems like they are... We came here for the day off our cruise to get away from the crowds and relax! What a nice place! The beach has the softest sand, the water is crystal clear, and the people were very friendly! A short 15 minute cab ride from the port and we were in front of the resort. Parts of one bathroom at... More

It's in the middle of a construction zone and the general feeling of being at the end of a marathon race and just hoping to finish. The massive BahaMar project right next door will make this place obsolete very soon, and it would seem they are just holding on until then. Food was overpriced, much better to leave the hotel... Chose this resort because I had never tried an all inclusive resort before. The check in went smoothly, although it takes a little longer having to put arm bands on everyone for the meal service. Our room was nice and overlooked the pools. We went to the formal dining room the first night and was disappointed with the food. Everything had... More

It was out first time in Nassau. I was quite uncertain about the hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor. I was going to double book and wanted to stay at the Compass Resort instead, but they were completely booked. Lets, look past the construction ... in fact, if you are planning on staying at the Melia, wait for... More

Don't believe the bad reviews. Areas of the hotel are under construction but that did not affect our stay. Hotel is very well kept, and the beach is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, I was always greeted with a smile. Only downside is the lack of daily and nightly entertainment. Special thanks to Kandeece at the front... More

The all inclusive package is super. You can't go wrong. The beach was within a few steps from the hotel. Nice, not crowded and very clean. Much better than other beaches I had visited in USA. Especially nice not to see dog poo etc.

The rooms have no wifi in them, only in the lobby , which is crazy in 2014 . If you like wifi, don't stay there :/ plenty of other options nearby , I visited Atlantis for party/casino , it was very nice , I should have stayed there.

My friends and I stayed at Melia Nassau Beach Resort recently. This was my second time back within the past 6 months and I was curious to see if the renovation was complete. I noticed it was still under construction but the service was still awesome!!! The staff was very attentive with whatever we needed and we felt very welcome.... More

The hotel was very clean - buffet was fantastic. My two 16 year old boys said there favorite part was the food. :-) The pools were always clean. The wait staff we sometimes had trouble getting our drink orders taken.
