Not sure where else you can stay in Nassau for the price paid. If can afford it go elsewhere, if you just want a place to crash it will do. This is a budget option place to stay in Nassau. You get what you pay for. Think of it more as student digs or hostel and if you are expecting... More

A DUMP, at least the the room we were offered for the night. I made 4 four phone calls and three emails in an attempt to book my room, Spoke with Pauline, who finally gave me a verbal "Yes" that my room was booked for 8 days, and it had been recently renovated upstairs which shared a very large balcony... We had a 24-hour layover in Nassau and wanted a simple well-located budget place to stay for 1 night. We chose this hotel based on the location and price and had pretty low expectations...but even those were not met. It's unfortunate because this property has so much potential to be a great basic budget option in the area. I'll start... More

Just spent a week here with my (adult) son. We stayed in 29 which has NOT been re-done and didn't realize some rooms had been. I wish they had put us in a 'newer' room. We didn't even think to ask since the price was lower cost than other hotels. The room was clean the the cleaning staff was nice.... More

Just spent a night here and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. It began with the surliness of the receptionist and got worse when I discovered that the first room they sent me to (#28) had a filthy carpet on the floor and a closet door that fell of its track when I tried to... All the issues criticized have been remedied. There is no more carpeting, all nice tiles. Hot water, air conditioning, free wifi which I'm using right now, clean rooms considering it's a mom-and-pop hotel so the rooms have the expected wear and tear. If you are obsessive then you probably won't like it here. If you are here to sight-see not... More

Small little place with a very friendly staff. Location is great as you are right across the street from Junkanoo Beach. Can walk about 10 minutes down the road to get to the Fish Fry area with many different dining options. Can also walk about 20 minutes the other direction and get to the market and where the cruise ships... More

The people at the reception and in housekeeping are so warm, friendly and hospitable. They will do anything at all to help you out and show off Nassau, and are very caring. Fantastic location too, just between the Fish Fry and city centre, on the main bus route. The hotel in itself though needs a good scrub and clean up.... More

I chose EL GRECO after checking out 3 other "low cost" establishments in the downtown area (Towne, Junkanoo, and 2 others whose names I can't remember). At $110 - $115 per night I still felt it was overpriced for what it was (picture a 50-year old "motel 6") but it was DEFINITELY the best of the lot in this price... More

I stayed at this hotel last week, a single white female traveling by myself which is somewhat unusual in the Caribbean. I felt so at home at this hotel and made friends with the lovely staff there who all looked out for me and loved hearing my adventure stories (swimming with dolphins, snorkeling with sharks!). I would highly recommend this... More
