Overall the experience was good. The woman that checked us in was a little short with us, but the rest of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Tip: You can buy an all day wifi pass, but if you're a HHonors member, they will give you a free wifi pass, but you have to have your actual member card,... More

My wife and I stayed here for our week long trip to Nassau. The hotel is beautiful and the beach is it's backyard. We received excellent service from Delvera, she was so helpful and kind-hearted. The food at the hotel is a bit pricey but the locals have the best tasting food I've had on vacation! Stay here, you won't... More

A hotel that clearly has ideas way above its station. Indifferent reception staff, expensive and very slow internet. Minimal facilities. Poor shower. This hotel has a lot to learn from genuine quality hotels. I think that the the Hilton Bahamas needs to stop pretending that it is a quality hotel and should send key staff on some training, whilst investing... More

I had the recent chance to spend some time in Nassau for business. What a great opportunity to mix business pleasure. That ended quickly upon checking into this property. We were asked to wait "10 Minutes" for our room to be ready. Well, to spare you the "we went to the outside bar and waited 20 minutes just to be... More

We received a good rate for the room but the daily fees are insane. On top of the daily rate, we had to pay $ 24.00 per day for "Energy Surcharge", $ 15.90 per day for "Room Tax", $ 15.90 per day for "Resort Levy", & $ 10.00 per day for "Room Attendant Gratuity". That's $ 66.00 per day for... More

I visited the British Colonial Hilton on Sunday, July 20. I booked a day pass for myself and my son prior to the visit online through a third-party website. We arrived at approximately 9:15 am. The front desk had a bit of a wait because two of the guests being helped seemed to have some problems or issues holding up... More

We arrived in Nassau aboard the NCL Getaway. After much research, we decided to book a day pass to this property because it was close to the cruise ship and downtown. Our pass was $45.00 per person which included a food credit and towels. The pictures of the property were highly inaccurate. When we arrived at the front desk, we... More

Save your $$ and stay away from this hotel. The hotel is in disrepair. I booked a room for 3 people and they gave me a room with ONE double bed. The MANAGER expalined to me we could get "extra linens to sleep on the floor" no rool aways were available. A FOUR star Resort??? That is a JOKE. At... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on downtown Nassau’s only private beach and the site of Old Fort Nassau, the British Colonial Hilton in the Bahamas has undergone a multi-million renovation throughout all areas of the hotel, and offers a taste of the island’s rich history, along with some of the most modern amenities for both business and vacation travelers. What’s more the hotel is only 25 minutes from Nassau (Lynden Pindling International) Airport. The hotel is a true Bahamian experience with a marble-tiled lobby and is studded with palm trees under a skylight ceiling. There are 288 luxuriously appointed guest rooms with harbor or island views. All rooms are furnished with tasteful decor, complemented by separate shower and bathtub. One-bedroom suites offer a separate living area with sofa bed, and Executive accommodations are also available along with the Executive Lounge, where attentive hotel staff assures that every need and whim will be met during your stay. Recreational activities are convenient and varied for leisure and business travelers alike. A 300-ft long private white sand beach is furnished with lounge chairs and thatched sunshades overlooking the harbor offering a peaceful and secluded access for an ocean swim or a day in the sun. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear on the beach is complimentary. Bordered on one side by a tropical garden, the hotel's freshwater pool offers harbor views and has an expansive sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Both the sundeck and beach offer views of cruise ships moored nearby, and of the western tip of Paradise Island, 300 yards offshore. Guests can snooze in hammocks on the lawn adjacent to the pool. The property can also organize trips out reef snorkeling island exploring, boating, golf, tennis and scuba diving. For dining options, Aqua is a fun, casual restaurant serving international favorites with a Caribbean flair, or guests can meet up for cocktails at the Bullion Bar. The new Bullion Bar is the 'place to be seen' for happy hour with great drink specials and tasty snacks. ... more   less
