well yes, it's a little pricy, what a nice beach. NO crowd and and really good service. the staff was wonderful, directing us to several places we would not have known about. Like Greycliffs and the time we spent on the Flying Cloud! If all you did was examine the room and breakfast, you must not have been on vacation.... More

This hotel is extortionately overpriced. The hotel room I had was fine. Nothing better than average. The breakfast at the hotel is the typical below average standard that you get at all Hilton hotels. It has a convenient location. There are much better options on the island to stay.

Our family of four stayed at the Hilton British Colonial for over a week. I read over 50 reviews before we went and I can tell you I was really unsure what to expect when we arrived. I feel that after our great 9 day stay - I owe it to the others on Trip Advisor to set the record... More

Read about this on Trip Advisor and decided to try it out during a day at shore on a recent cruise. You pay $65 to make use of the private beach and pool and they include really comfortable sun loungers and free kayaks and snorkelling gear for the beach. You get a $40 credit against food and drink so you... More

This was my second visit to this Hilton. Beautiful, stately hotel but it can use some TLC. The carpets are torn in the hallways, a bit of mold in the shower. The staff can be hot and cold. Some are very friendly, others not. Not a bad stay but not one that was impressive either.

We were on the carnival fantasy and purchased the day pass for 120.00 for the both of us. It was a 5 to 10 minute walk from the pier. The lady at the counter was very pleasant. We arrived alittle after 9 am it wasn't very crowded and there were lots of chairs. We had a 80 dollar credit for food... More

We stayed here for five nights in early April 2014 and had a lovely time. The good: You can't beat the location - 5 minutes to shopping, restaurants, people-watching. The beach is small but we found loungers even on busy days, and the lounges around the pool were comfortable and luxurious. The views from our room of the ocean were... More

Granted that this is a historic hotel (designed by Henry Flagler) but it needs to be updated. Stayed here in the 80's, when it was a loud convention center. Have stayed (on business) twice in the recent past. It needs an overhaul. Staff is friendly, but the restaurant as in most resort hotels, is expensive.

The British Colonial Hilton is a superb example of English Colonial Architecture and charm. I was recently responsible for organizing an event to take place in the Bahamas. Based upon Trip Advisor Reviews, room rates, location, proximity to desirable destinations and the property itself, I contracted approximately 40 room nights, catering services and meeting space for a three-day event. While,... More

We stayed here for one night last week at the end of our vacation. We found the hotel to be great! My husband is a diamond club member and we were upgraded to an incredible harbor front room at no cost. The hotel has a tiny beach and one pool. The grounds and beach and pool were beautiful! They have... More
