I am sitting here on my bed at Mignon. They have wifi. If you are looking for oceanview, this is not your place, it is located in a side alley in Nassau. However, it is a 4 minute walk to the ferry to Paradise Island, the local souvenir market, Senior Frogs, the Hilton, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Seafood, Liquid Lounge Club... more

I arrived at the Mignon in late afternoon after a long hike of several miles. Mary (Maria) and her husband hooked me up with a twin room. When I went to it, it was spotlessly clean , the beds made perfectly, and best of all the new A/C system cranked to 70. I turned on CNN to see if society... more

Finding budget accommodation in the Bahamas is really difficult. The Mignon Guest House on 12 Market Street, Nassau, is a gem. The rooms and shared bathrooms are spotlessly clean and there's a refrigerator guests' use, which is stocked with a ready supply of cold drinking water. The WiFi works brilliantly in the rooms. What made our stay in Nassau so... more

I have stayed at the Mignon Guest House a total of 3 times. The Greek couple who run the place are so very wonderfully friendly that words barely do justice. True, as some have said, at first glance, upon approaching the street entrance the place looks a little scary, however, the area is safe - as safe as downtown Nassau... more

We went to the Bahamas expecting everything to be extremely expensive. We were very surprise to have found this hotel on the "Lonely Planet" after our arrival we decided to go there and check it out. Maria and Steve Antonas are quite a couple, super clean, organized, and quaint; the rooms were $53 with taxes for both my boyfriend and... more

At first I was a little bit worried about the street the hostel was on. It is centrally located (financial district, less than 5 min walk from Straw Market), but feels a bit deserted at night. It is the main reason I'm not giving the place four stars. However if you're travelling with companions, I have no qualms whatsoever to... more

The reviews here were all very good, so we booked to stay. All I can say is don't be fooled, it is a very depressing place in a bad location and will not be what you're after in the Bahamas if you're after a nice relaxing holiday. We were very disappointed and wished we'd stayed elsewhere. more

In a quiet street in the heart of downtown. All conveniences within walking distance. However there are no decent beaches in this area - just go to Paradise Island. Mignon is very safe, stairs take you up to the locked gate of a quaint open landing. Owners' apt is at the front, and 6 guest rooms are at the back... more

During my college days, my fraternity used the Mignon for our fraternities spring break trip. Mary Antonas reserved Spring Break week for us every year (1970's). We called her Mom and she and her husband Steve took great care of us. I always would visit her house and she would serve us Greek sweet liquor. This was over thirty years... more

I decided to stay at Mignon's after reading reviews here so I feel I should write a feed back to help other travellers. Anyway, I stayed there for 3 nights and the experience was very good. The guest house has 6 total rooms but one is occupied by owner's son. Each room has a tv, fan, a/c, desk, a single... more
