The two of us aging baby boomers just returned from our sixth two-week stay at CBC. This was a wonderfully relaxing vacation and since we both have mobility issues this year we mostly just walked the 3 minute walk to the most beautiful beach on STJ, back to our site for meals and up to the T'ree Lizard with our... We are frequent visitors to St John having stayed at Maho Bay Camps for a number of years. Since Maho closed last year, we decided to give Cinnamon Bay a try. When we reserved our cottage through their reservation office we said just put us anywhere. They asked if we would be interested if they had openings close to the... More

The beach is beautiful and the snorkeling at the island and at the black rocks was great. We stayed in a cottage which was quite spacious for 2 people. The propane stove that came with the cottage was easy to use, enabled us to have coffee and tea every morning and handy for cooking up food we brought.. Access to... More

I've been to St. John at least a dozen times. I've stayed at Maho, Caneel Bay as well as rented a villa. This was my first camping experience at Cinnamon Bay. We had a very active long weekend trying out many different beaches and having nice dinners in town every evening, so we were really at the campground just to... More

I hate writing crappy reviews but I felt that I needed to, I hope this saves someone from frustration and wasted money (sorry its long). I live in St. Thomas, my boyfriend and I wanted to spend a couple days over on St. John to relax. I always seem to encounter entitled and rude people in the service industry in... More

We spent 2 weeks at Cinnamon this February. It was our second time here. We truly love this place! I use the term "ordinary people" because this is a campground folks!! It is not a resort nor a high-priced luxury hotel. You need to understand that and if you expect something else-then this is not the place for you. You... More

Cinnamon Bay Campground offers an unbelievable location at a fabulous Caribbean price, but you have to want to be immersed in the real Caribbean, not desirous of escaping to sterile, Americanized luxury. We arrived at 6:30 PM as the frogs reached their crescendo-- a crescendo that lasted most of the night and a cacophony I loved... but if you'd rather... More

Pros: • The beach. The best on the island for swimming and lounging, in our admittedly limited experience. Especially in the afternoon after everyone else has returned to their villas and cruise ships. Water temperature is perfect, in January at least. Sunsets are to die for. • The camping. On the beach! You don't have to go back to your... More

I visited the camp ground and beach while on a cruise and was shocked. Just absolutely beautiful. Nice and quiet, tons to do, see and explore. Like to camp? Go cinnamon bay! You will not regret a trip here.

Here is my review after 2 weeks stay in the campground during December/January 2013. I am focusing on the things that I would have found helpful before I came. Overall, I would say this is a great place and I will definitely be back. 1. This is a great low-cost option for people that enjoy camping and the outdoors. Expect... More
