First thing we heard this year checking in was a couple complaining about the bugs, bathrooms, and cabin to the front desk staff. "The bathrooms are dirty and there are bugs in there, our sheets have not been changed in 2 days". Did ya not check Trip Advisor?!?! We have stayed at Cinnamon Bay in the cottages at least 20... First thing you need to know--this is camping so all you tourist that need your private bathroom, no bugs, hot water--don't stay here. You have your choice, bring your own tent, rent a tent or rent a 2 block walled 2 screen sided cabin. IF you do, you will be on the BEST beach on the entire island. The staff... More

I usually try to camp in-park when visiting National Parks, and figured why not with this one as well. I'm glad i went this route...camping within steps to the beach was so peaceful and convenient to my lazy beach days! Checkin was easy, and the map to your site certainly helps. Several campers were gathered at the main office when... More

We stayed in the cottages, and the accommodations are very basic. The cottages are two concrete walls, a roof and two screen walls. There is no running water and the cooking is done on a camp stove set up on the front or back porch. The beds are adequate, and we had enough room. Calling it a cottage is a... More

I've taken two different school groups for two weeks each to Cinnamon Bay Campground, staying in their cottages and eating two meals a day with them for two weeks. The staff always takes such GREAT care of us, learning our names, our schedules, and our preferences. They are wonderful! The accommodations are rustic, so don't expect luxury, and there always... Wow, what an experience. Me and my buddy had gone down for 11 days, may 9-20. it was defiantly the best vacation i've ever been on. I travel a lot and I have been to St john before and it was awesome. Camping is defiantly a whole new experience there and its totally worth it. We had read thousands of... More

Being a woman I was a bit skeptical about camping for a week. You only live once, so we went for it. We stayed in a platform tent. The website shows great platform tents with big screens, however you should go prepared with your own. Our site was high up, which was nice because it was private but more wilderness.... More

The two of us aging baby boomers just returned from our sixth two-week stay at CBC. This was a wonderfully relaxing vacation and since we both have mobility issues this year we mostly just walked the 3 minute walk to the most beautiful beach on STJ, back to our site for meals and up to the T'ree Lizard with our... We are frequent visitors to St John having stayed at Maho Bay Camps for a number of years. Since Maho closed last year, we decided to give Cinnamon Bay a try. When we reserved our cottage through their reservation office we said just put us anywhere. They asked if we would be interested if they had openings close to the... More

The beach is beautiful and the snorkeling at the island and at the black rocks was great. We stayed in a cottage which was quite spacious for 2 people. The propane stove that came with the cottage was easy to use, enabled us to have coffee and tea every morning and handy for cooking up food we brought.. Access to... More
