The location is superb and the beach is beautiful but the campsite is terrible. The tents are musty and full of holes. There is no way to keep out any of the insects. The campsite is full of cockroaches (we couldn't cook after the sun when down due to all the cockroaches) and rats (supposedly attracted by the almond trees).... More

I stayed two nights in a platform tent. The tent had not been cleaned in any way in a long time. There was dirt and sand covering not only the floor, but the cots as well. The cots were what I expect to find in a house abandoned 50 years ago - rusted frames barely held together that sag to... More

I am not a fancy traveler but the prices charged at this campground and the hygienic standards are very poor. We paid 103 $ a night for a tent, the beds are broken and the overall condition is seriously bad for the money. It's evident that none of the money goes into maintenance or upkeep. If this was a third... More

It was perfect for what we wanted out of our trip to St. John. We wanted to be away from the tourists and cruise ship people and this was the way to do it. We were not far from Cruz Bay with their restaurants/bars and such so we could easily have that, but at the end of the day, we... More

In some ways, I like to see the negative comments about CBC-it helps keep this beautiful place as it is. But, in other ways, it hurts me to read all of the bashing about this and that concerning the sites, the conditions and most of all the People that work there and do there best to maintain a "National Park"... The beach here is awesome but the camping is not the best. Lots of bugs, lots of rain (at least when we were here) the restaurant is not the best. But you still have the beach right here. The beds are not very comfortable.

The property is very nice, had a platform tent. Bugs were horrendous. The boy scout beds in the tent are not comfy, after many nts my back was screaming. The restaurant hrs are inconvenient, food is ok, showers are cold and you can avoid having to pull on the string for constant water by putting a rock in a bag and... More

The tents are on a platform in a jungle like area behind the beach which makes it buggy. Each has a Coleman stove and a propane tank. The tents do not have zippers, so mosquitoes and other critters have free reign. The restaurant is very expensive and not very good - mostly hamburgers and such. The showers are cold water... More

Loooooove it there! We went with our 10 month old baby for 4 nights at one of the cottages and was just a fun adventure! The beach is a postcard, bathtub water and the most beautiful color of turquoise I have ever seem! Outdoor showers weren't that bad but toilets were a bit dirty but nothing major at least the... If you are a regular camping enthusiast you should have no problems staying here it is all attitude and awareness of what camping is like. My wife and I did a bare site, and we brought our tent which when it did rain did not leak at all. We brought two tarps one for under the tent and one as... More
