We walked into our experience thinking we'd wisely chosen a middle of the road choice to help us get used to camping while traveling. To be clear, we're backpackers and avid campers so we know about camping and we love love love it! We just wanted to not jump into the deep end without knowing what we were doing since... More

Cinnamon bay is a nice campground and offers a myriad of activities (kayaking, swimming, snorkeling). The facilities are adequate but this place was overcrowded. Got the beachfront cabin -10b. Nice to walk out to the water. Kayaking was awesome here -would recommend that. This is a more primitive style campground. Yes there are bath houses and a restaurant but if... More

we love the experience of st john and this camp ground! the cabin was all we needed to experience this paradise. it was clean and had fresh linens and towels. the beds were a bit uncomfortable but this is not a luxury hotel. we hung out at the beach for the first few days and they wanted to see the... Our experience of Cinnamon Bay was dreadful from the get-go. Despite several requests, they didn't get around to confirming our booking until the very last moment. They charged my credit card twice (they have since repaid the second charge) and no one would pick up the phone when we called. We booked a platform tent for a night and were... More

Well, if you plan to camp at Cinnamon Bay note that not much has changed over the years. Perhaps there is more gravel on the paths so less mud but the restrooms, service approach and Tree L'ard Restaurant are all similar if you have been here previously. Some insights for a bare site: bring a reliable tent, LARGE tarp for... More

This wonderful National park's equipment is suffering from funding cuts, and mismanagement by its wealthy competitor neighbor, Caneel Bay resort. The costs of staying in this virtual paradise have risen ten times in the 25 years I have visited, but the dedicated people who run the place are struggling to keep up with torn tents, broken camping equipment, and day... This I my favorite place in the world and I want to say bad things so it does not get ruined and overcrowded. The conditions are rustic, there are bugs, donkeys, deer, roosters and public common restrooms. Please stay away if you don't like campgrounds and super friendly down-to- earth people. Seriously, the staff are so friendly that you fall... More

This campground/resort is just lovely. Between the wildlife, i.e Wild free roaming deer & donkey that will eat right from your hands, the fish you'll see if scuba is your thing.. even if not, look closely while swimming the clear blue waters, they are there! The birds, reptiles and mongoose you see will blow your main land minds. Cinnamon beach... More

I'm a grandmother who loves camping and has done so all over the world. I have used and enjoyed other national park camping and cabin facilities for 12 years of retirement. I was happy to learn of Cinnamon Bay campground. Reading many reviews, I was geared up and looking to enjoy a few quiet, beautiful days and nights on St.... More

Special place part of the national park Mother Nature shapes the beach a tree falls and that is where it stays. My cottage number 105 was just steps from the beach. I have stayed several times in the cottages. Restaurant is reasonable; food is incredible I recommend the goat soup. Tip by all your supplies at the store on property... More
