This is a great place to stay on St. John. Great breakfast, good dinners, fun bar, clean rooms, friendly staff, and cheap! stayed there once, never again. rooms were fair at best, price has gone up i see. loud neighbors, not their fault tho. couldnt be a free breakfast, but thats the only thing good i could find to say. more

Wonderful stay. Good value for the price paid as compared to island rates. Fun courtyard to have cocktails and great food. Perfectly located close to Cruz Bay, all of the main restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Expect a hotel that is a bit older, but the staff is very accomodating. more

A very nice, quaint hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They were a welcomed relief from the aloofness of some of the people on St. Thomas. The food at the hotel was very good. We did not have any problems with bugs or mosquitos. We would return. more

Last stayed at Tamarind Court late 2005, and am glad to see that the some of my recommendations were acted upon. The location is a short walk up the hill from the ferry dock. If your needs are very basic and you wear mosquito repellent to bed, I'd recommend it for a night or two at most, but I definitely wouldn't stay again. more

This place is absolutely disgusting! We stayed here one night which was one too many. I woke up in the middle of the night with about 100 mosquito bites. The floors were filthy, the shower was moldy, the towels smelled. The bed was old and creeky, the sheets felt dirty. The air conditioning worked well, but it was very loud.... more
