The St. John Inn is a neat little hacienda that has a unique vibe all of it's own. It is an affordable, clean, comfortable, and convenient B&B that is located within walking distance to ALL the attractions in Cruz Bay such as shopping, dinning, entertainment and fun. Being able to walk to Cruz Bay saved us tons of money and... more

The St. John Inn is cozy and comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and really valuable in helping me make the most out of my vacation: they set up my car rental, gave me tips on the best beaches (and how to get there without getting lost!) and places to eat. For those of you looking for fancy "luxury"... more

We live in the Caribbean and returned to St. John to visit friends. When we told her we were staying here, she immediately said 'NO', I will find you another place. Much to our dismay, we insisted that this would be fine for a couple of nights. Well, it turned out that she was absolutely right. We did not remember... more

Management response from
St. John Inn, manager

After reading this review, we were shocked to learn that a long time island resident told visitors that there is an unsafe street on St. John. St John has a small town charm and is overall very safe. There has been an inn in this location for 35 years and there has never been an incidence of any guests being...

If you are simple and easy to make happy, like me, then, as soon as you walk in, at first glance you'll like the place. It's an old building repainted and that had been remodeled. The girls from the staff were friendly, gave us helpful tips, they had a great attitude always. When we walked in for the first time... more

If you want to experience Island living, then this place is for you. It is not pretentious in any way. If you are expecting the Caneel Bay Resort...then go spend $350-$500 a night there. You walk up a local neighborhood street (About a 5 minute walk to the ferry dock in Cruz Bay) filled with Caribbean music and local spanish... more

We just spent one night at the hotel, it was a nice, inexpensive alternative. We wanted to be close to the shops, restaurants and be able to walk in downtown Cruz Bay. If this is what you look for, it's a great alternative. The hotel needs some basic TLC and it's run down, but the staff seems to be doing... more

I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in St. John for the beaches and snorkeling and other outdoor adventures. It does not have the luxury interiors or immaculate landscaping of a Caneel or Westin, but it will cost you hundreds less which you can use to rent your jeep or eat at some of the many great restuarants.... more
