My husband and I spent 8 nights at La Sirena in St. John, first week of November 2009. I did a lot of research to find a place that had all the amenities I wanted - private pool, hammocks, gas bbq grill, TV, dvd, high-speed Internet - and La Sirena had it all. We were met at the ferry dock by Karen from Windspree (the rental company) and she was terrifically accommodating, waiting for us while we grabbed some food, driving us to Cool Breeze Jeep Rental (also recommended) and stopping at Lilly's Market so we could buy some groceries on the way. The villa looked exactly like the pictures - modern and clean. It was so nice to have a private pool all to ourselves. Older travelers might not like the outdoor spiral staircase which leads from the bedroom level to the upper level with the kitchen but it was fine for us. La Sirena has a full kitchen and a grill and thus we only ate out twice the whole time (not including the smoothie stand which we visited multiple times!). My advice is to... more
