Sapphire Beach is the most beautiful beach in St Thomas. The views of St John and satellite islands is amazing. Sapphire Resort is under transformation from a true resort to individually owned condo for rent. We recently rented A304 through VRBO from a wonderful couple. This building and the condo have been thoroughly updated. We love this location not just... More

The beach and snorkeling are top notch. There is a marina onsite with all kinds of tours. Also, saphhire bar and grill is up behind the marina, not visible from the marina, beach or parking lot...its a great place for dinner and drinks. I don't know why it isn't advertised around the property because otherwise the banana cabana (tent with... More

The exterior of the hotel doesn't lend to much confidence as the grounds are tatty and somewhat unkept. The parking lot is rutted and after rains filled with water. The room was okay, but somewhat dated. The amenities were fine and the bed was comfortable. For the price paid I would expect something more though. The highlight was the beach... More

Ok... Mixed feelings about resort itself, (as it is in the process of apparently a lengthy reno)...BUT, the condo that we stayed in on the property was perfect for us! Steps from the water, 2 story villa which had been completely renovated...granite, quartz and stainless finishes... just to name a few. Beautiful high ceiling in bedroom lending to that amazing... Always such a great Beach to hang out on. The condos are always in such poor shape and the remodel has taken years to complete. Like allot of places on St thomas if we had more hard working people here it could be so much better.

What a shame that this resort is on the most amazing beach! We visited last year (October 2013) and all over the resort were signs that said "under renovation" however, the same signs are still up a year later (we are here again October 2014) and the property is worse. Garbage and junk everywhere... all around the resort from the... More

Almost need 2 reviews, one for condo, one for resort. First the resort (3 stars). Great location on beach, close to red hook restaurants and ferry. But overall impression is that it's in a state of disrepair. Tennis courts and volleyball court are unplayable. Building B is undergoing renovations and is all boarded up. Beautiful pool flanked by boarded up... More

As far as the local hotels they have on Sapphire beach I am more than convinces they are mediocre just by looking at them from the outside. They appeared run down and in much need of renovation. But beach wise, you can't beat it any where else in St. Thomas. The nature at this place is breath taking! It is... More

I would stay here again and again, food very close by and beach at sapphire is spectacular! I stayed by the yacht basin and saw the days catches coming in. They are doing some remodelling and rebuilding the beach structures but are open for business.

As many people have mentioned go through VRBO, not through the actual resort. If you are wanting to beach bum around this probably isn't the best location. The view here is one of the best on St Thomas, but the only downfall is not much amenities on the 'resort'. Sapphire is less than a mile from Red Hook which is... More
