Always such a great Beach to hang out on. The condos are always in such poor shape and the remodel has taken years to complete. Like allot of places on St thomas if we had more hard working people here it could be so much better.

What a shame that this resort is on the most amazing beach! We visited last year (October 2013) and all over the resort were signs that said "under renovation" however, the same signs are still up a year later (we are here again October 2014) and the property is worse. Garbage and junk everywhere... all around the resort from the... More

Almost need 2 reviews, one for condo, one for resort. First the resort (3 stars). Great location on beach, close to red hook restaurants and ferry. But overall impression is that it's in a state of disrepair. Tennis courts and volleyball court are unplayable. Building B is undergoing renovations and is all boarded up. Beautiful pool flanked by boarded up... More

As far as the local hotels they have on Sapphire beach I am more than convinces they are mediocre just by looking at them from the outside. They appeared run down and in much need of renovation. But beach wise, you can't beat it any where else in St. Thomas. The nature at this place is breath taking! It is... More

I would stay here again and again, food very close by and beach at sapphire is spectacular! I stayed by the yacht basin and saw the days catches coming in. They are doing some remodelling and rebuilding the beach structures but are open for business.

As many people have mentioned go through VRBO, not through the actual resort. If you are wanting to beach bum around this probably isn't the best location. The view here is one of the best on St Thomas, but the only downfall is not much amenities on the 'resort'. Sapphire is less than a mile from Red Hook which is... More

We just returned from St. Thomas really enjoyed the island but stay away from Sapphire beach resort for now they are remodeling some of the buildings all we heard was jack hammers all day. Had nothing much to offer at this place. I wish I knew this before we went just trying to help the next person.

About the best thing I can say about this place was that is was affordable. The grounds were very run down, but our unit was not too bad. It was clean, and was equipped with satellite, flat screen tv's, fully stocked kitchen, etc. a little disappointing that wi-fi was not included, and we had to pay for it. The beach was... More

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. We arrived at 11:30 to check into our room. Since check in was at 3pm they said we werent allowed to technically check in so we asked if we could just leave our stuff in the room which they said was fine. While waiting in the office area for... More

Hi Kathy, I haven't looked at both yet, but to the first, which is a frequently-occurring testimony to the inferior services provided by the rental managers who ply their trade at SBRM, I would say something along the following lines. Dear Doublet_66, As a long-time owner at Sapphire Beach and as one that has experienced the pleasure of sharing this... More

We rented condo D207 through VRBO for 5 days/4 nights. The deciding factors were location & cost. SBR is conveniently located on the east end, close to the Red Hook ferry & restaurants. We originally planned on staying at the Marriott Frenchman because of the modern feel and ammenities but glad we didn't bc we rarely stayed onsite and saved... More
