This past June 2009, we had a chance to stay at Sapphire Beach and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I decided to investigate renting through a private owner, and after much searching settled on a 1 bedroom – 2 bath condo, unit #C-308. The whole rental process went smoothly, and when we entered the code for the keyless entry, any trepidation... more

Came here five years ago, had a blast! A wonderful place with wonderful people. The place is still here, all boarded up and nothing open or working, but all the wonderful people are gone. every one here with few exceptions think they are doing you a favor by just letting you stay here. This place has turned into a real... more

No matter who this guest rented through, he/she should have been aware of the restaurant/bars being closed long before arrival. It's been discussed at some length on this forum. The reviewer doesn't say exactly who has been unfriendly. My own guests seem to have had a very different experience as they often comment on how friendly the locals are.

After waiting 25 years to return to St. Thomas, my dreams were fulfulled staying on Sapphire Bay at the Sapphire Beach Resort. The view from building D made me want to pinch myself every time I stepped onto the balcony. The main swimming area on the beach was closer to building A and was only moderately "crowded" when cruise ship... more

You're renting someone's timeshare. Let's just get that right out in the open and make sure you understand what you're getting. It's not a hotel room. The standards just aren't the same. Let's go down the list, ok? 1. No reliable internet access. Even if you're here to unplug, it's freakin 2009! Broadband wireless internet access is a must-have no... more

Our family of 4 traveled to St Thomas in April and stayed in A 108 at Sapphire Beach resort. We rented through Home Away.com and found a great deal by booking through them. The bed was very comfortable and our two girls slept on the pull out sofa bed and an aero bed that was also provided at no additional... more

I was very nervous to stay here after reading some of the terrible reviews. I shouldn't have had any worries! I was so surprised when I walked into a beautiful lobby with nice staff and it only got better. The room was absolutely fantastic! We had a 2 bedroom on the 7th floor. The pictures the hotel has posted do... more

We just returrned last night from a 5 day stay. First, sincere thanks to all those who had written reviews and communicated with us prior to our trip - as many have already said, don't believe the negative reviews, just go with a positive attitude and enjoy! The beach is absolutely magnificent, and the staff treated us great. We had... more

We stayed a week at this hidden gem and would say we had a overall great time! The beach was amazing and since your room is located right off the beach it self, making it for a short walk to it. more

I visited Sapphire about 5 years ago and have planned to visit it again ever since. In March 2009 I travelled with my family and we had the time of our life. Beautiful beach, nice staff and free shuttle to The Agavé Restaurant at Point Pleasant - I definitely recommend that place for dinner. I go to USVI every year... more

Got there and was greated by the very gracious manager, took us to the resort which has a quaint beauty about it. Sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The unit (e-204) has all the things you would need, afterall the main highlight is the beach. Amenities are adequate and the little sandwhich/bar hut there is great for a quick beer or... more
