We weren't staying at the hotel (we visited the island on a cruise), but we spent the day there while flyboarding (BTW - St. Thomas Flyboarding is AWESOME!). I was able to watch my boys while enjoying great food/drinks at the bar/patio and the service was amazing! I had forgotten to get more cash before leaving the ship/port and only... More

On my visit to the BVI's I had a medical emergency, so after trying 3 other hotels for a room with no luck , this was the only hotel with a room in St. Thomas it appears. I truthfully was surprised the Winward Hotel would recommend this motel. We arrived at 10:30 pm.... I must admit I was surprised they... More

A shabby hotel very much in the need of restoration as parts of the buildings literally are falling apart - the beach bar for instance. The hotel is located very close to the airport which makes you see and HEAR landings and taking offs. This said the location right on the beach and a small bay is just perfect and... More

Booked rooms for easy early morning access to airport. Location and outward appearance wasn't too bad, just an older place. Nice beach bar with great service since the bartender was also running the food from the kitchen. Bartender was great! That's where it ends...we booked king rooms on beach and when we opened the door to 123 it was nasty.... More

Were in port for a day on a cruise ship. Figured Magen's Bay would be packed (someone told us the next day that there was not even room to put down a towel on Magen's Bay) so we opted for Emerald Beach. The Taxi driver dropped us off at the Island Beachcomer Hotel. The grounds and beach were nice though... More

If you prefer a "fine" experience with all the amenities; all the glitz; all the comfort - this is not a place for you. On the other hand, if you prefer experiences rather than just sight-seeing, a "funky" atmosphere, willing to put up with up-to-date (1970's) style and encountering interesting people, then this is the place for you. One of... More

We stayed at the Beachcomber the night before catching the ferry to Tortola to begin our week long sail boat charter. The hotel is a three minute drive from the airport, so be sure to secure a good price before catching a cab from the airport. When we arrived the lady at the front desk was incredibly pleasant and gave... More

We missed our cruise ship in Miami and flew to St. Thomas to catch the ship there. Got off the plane and walked from the airport to this Diamond in the ruff. The family owned resort met our every need. We left our room and were immediately stepping onto the white sand beach for sunbathing, swimming, real good snorkeling, and strolling... More

I have been staying at The Island Beachcomber since the late 1970's. A little dated now but always clean and functional with beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful staff and a location that suits my needs. Restaurant and Bar convenient, I always have a wonderful visit here. Will continue to stay at Island Beachcomber every chance I get.
